"I got COVID you don't want this" is the cry of the unvaccinated, despite his J&J bit mentioned in the article.

That's different, usually we get the Tweet about a news article greened. In this case it's a news article about a Tweet.

That said, if you want to lose what little faith you still have in humanity go through the replies and quote tweets to his Tweet.

Because vaccinated people who get Covid find it to be such a delightful and welcome change from their regular routine?

Loosen your tinfoil hat a little. If he got an early dose of J&J, that means he received the weakest vaccine and there's been a long interval for his resistance to diminish. He's safer for having had the shot, but a breakthrough case could still be serious for him.

Except he has never officially said he was vaccinated. His J&J bit was a comedy routine about using status to jump a line. I have no tinfoil hat, I was just reading between the lines of his vague tweet, so who really knows. In general, vaxxed folks who get COVID usually credit the vax for COVID not kicking their ass.

I have no idea. I was just pointing his J&J claim was part of a comedy routine. He really hasn't said anything either way about vaccines that I'm aware of.

Vaccinated people who have gotten Covid would probably all agree that you still don't want it. And most comedians' routines are based on their own life experiences (except for jokes they stole from other comedians, that is). If he's cracking wise about getting the vaccine, he's more likely to have actually done it, not less.

His routine was long before this tweet. Again, we don't really know about his situation. My initial comment stands, as a generality.

He's not gonna have sex with you. You can't possibly know whether he actually got the vaccine or not, so there's no point white-knighting. I'm just hoping he did...for his sake.

I'm thinking it stands more as an abnormality, but let's just agree to disagree on that.

Whether you believe his jokes about getting the J&J vaccine meant he really got it or not, he was unquestionably expressing an interest in getting a vaccine. If he's secretly an anti-vaxxer, he's been doing a really bad job of it by promoting the desirability of vaccination.

I'm not defending him, I'm pointing out that someone who says they desperately wanted a vaccine is pretty damn likely to have gotten the vaccine. You guys are getting really weird over this.

And I don't want to sleep with him. He's got Covid, ferfuxsake. Are you nuts?

If he got a second dose of either Pfizer or Moderma, he may have not gotten it. They are recommending anyone that got J&J to get one of the MRNA vaccines. Anyone getting the one shot vaccine will have a higher chance of getting covid, compared to people who got two doses.
