That said, you'd think by now there would be an advertiser-side equivalent to ad blocker lists.  If not, that seems like an opportunity for someone.

Wouldn't make a difference. Crazy people buy shoes too, and potential sales are all that matter to corporations.

They keep trying but a lot of agencies just want to blow through their client's budgets.

Having participated in a couple of ad campaign audits I can say the number of bad publishers or even non-human impressions are a real eye opener to the main client and agencies are often complicit or negligent in assuring some semblance of quality traffic.

I'm not surprised or outraged by this, this is likely simply automated targeted ads. The real test here will be if the companies request these ads are pulled from these sites.

'Would you rather win with the nazi vote or lose without it?' Is a question whose answer depends on who your opponent is.

I would think companies like Nike and Amazon are so big that they don't even pay attention to which sites they advertise on. Not very closely anyway. Besides, a lot of advertising is based on cookies from websites you visit anyway, so if you happen to visit a conspiracy dipshiat website with the cookies that would advertise for Nike, of course you're going to get Nike ads. So this is basically a non-story.

Nike shoe culture, from my perception, appears to be this,:
Jens new shoes
Youtube SO4MzTfM9XQ
but targeted at male presenting humans.

You know what?
Fine.

Sell qanon idiots shoes, less money for them to donate to Trump.

Guardian - biggest spreader of lies and information in the world, scruffles in the dirt pile and decides to call out site using normal third-party advertising aggregators ... as if there is something nefarious there.

Guardian readers, clowns that they are, eat it right up and say "Please pass the Ben And Jerry's".
