The SBC does not have the structural authority to mandate anything.
They are an umbrella organization.
All SB churches are independent by doctrine.
How, when, if  and how closely they tow the party line is up to each pastor and its congregants.

What's cool is that this opens up an avenue of  infighting and schism.

Right, but the Missions Board does make policy for the missionaries the Missions Board sends out.

Yesterday I read about one local Baptist Pastor saying he won't be signing exemptions for his congregants because life is sacred both inside AND outside the womb. So that's one.

IANAL, but I'd bet a dollar this has something to do with minimising insurance and medical liability, while actually changing nothing. This way, anyone who gets sick while on a mission, they can wash their hands (in true biblical fashion), and say "well, we mandated it".

This is based on nothing, as I have no idea how SBC missionaries are set up, but considering they're mostly run by far right assholes, I doubt they'd do the right thing without having their cash flow threatened.

Yeah, they couldn't go on their missionary things without it. Not like they decided this out of the goodness of their hearts. Politlically they'd love to tow the stupid line but if you need a shot (which they didn't realy care about anyway) to take advantage of poor people in developing countries then they're all in.

When being a missionary, you have to present as perfect. If missionaries got sick, they would be rejected.
If they have the armor of god, then they don't get sick like heathens do.

Politics in the US is one thing. Looking perfect to foreigners is a different issue. This is about the latter.

The Pope said Catholics should get vaccinated - even if the vaccine involved fetal cell lines (ie J&J).  There are plenty of unvaccinated priests, and even some American bishops who are offering "religious exemption" letters. This is despite the Pope warning against these letters, and has to be like a zillion Hail Marys but I digress.

If the Pope can't get his own priests to listen, I have little hope for all the independent churches to listen to an umbrella organization.

I always thought that Baptist missionaries were living the dream -- getting as far away from the local congregation's prying eyes, at the same time existing in an atmosphere of genuine help and tolerance for things different on both sides.   The lack of flush toilets and air conditioning was less of a problem than having to deal with other Baptists.

My Mom had a friend, dear God, we went over to her home one day to check on her, and the place was a disaster, trash everywhere, the entire house smelled of urine.  It took two days to clean up the place.  We contacted elder care.

Meanwhile, her son was saving souls somewhere in Central America.

Correct. Though the local churches can decide how much money the give to Mission Board.  We will have to see if the wingnuts churches try to force them to stop vaccinating missionaries.
