It's high school football, Subby. It shouldn't even be on television to begin with. Let's ease up with kids and the Fail tag.

I have a huge problem with high school sports and the LLWS being on television of this magnitude. It's not even remotely healthy to have kids that young having their successes and failures magnified to such an extent especially in the age of social media.

We're putting minors on television without compensation, and who aren't fully developed from a physical or mental perspective, and then we're putting them on huge stages for our alleged entertainment.

Yeah, that creeps me out.

It is wrong.

And ESPECIALLY as young as the LLWS, it shouldn't happen.

But it does. And it has been happening. There are poachers in amateur athletics at every level where publicity occurs. Programs built because of illegal recruiting or promises, or just simply parents who want their kids to win. Even Little League programs. FFS that movie The Mighty Ducks was more myth because that rich kid WOULDN'T have been forced to play for another team.

Now, high school? BIG time high school? Football (even moreso basketball) programs recruit just like the college teams. Chances are if you see a HS program with a top 25 ranking in 2021 it isn't organic.
