That was almost as brutal as the Giants choking that game.

NewportBarGuy: That was almost as brutal as the Giants defensive lineman being dumber than a box of rocks, while the WTFs choked a makeable field goal

Theisman, Smith and this guy? Was that stadium built on a cursed Indian burial ground or something?

Yeah, you'd rather hear it used to describe an opposing linebacker.

Theismann was at old RFK Stadium, but yeah; there's a bit of a history in DC of these horrid injuries.

I just wince when I read that, ugh.

The actual location of Jimmy Hoffa.

The only famously gruesome injuries I've seen as they happened for sporting events were Willis McGahee's knee and Tim Krumrie's leg. There are probably one or two I'm not thinking of but all things considered, I've been remarkably lucky in avoiding involuntarily witnessing nasty sports injuries.

I don't think I saw Joe Theismann's deal until the beginning of The Blind Side.

That looked like McKenzie Milton's leg.

I saw Dak last year as it happened on TV but it didn't really sink in what was going on until they showed the replay. Also watched Bryce Florie get Conigliaro'd live on TV....

You forgot Bobby three sticks too. There is definitely some cursed shiat going on with the team.

I remember seeing that on television on MNF. The only way I could describe it was LT turned his leg into a corkscrew and screwed it into the ground.

i was at the mcgahee game in the opposite side of the stadium and still winced when it happened.

worst i've seen in person was a wagon tip over in a chuckwagon race and dudes leg went into a spinning wagon wheel.

yes, i am a hick. why do you ask?

I thought it was a nice change to not show the leg snapping. First time I remember them not showing the replay.

I remember that reverse-angle replay of Theisman's leg snapping under the weight of all four Giants linebackers. Fun fact: Lawrence Taylor was the last one to get there, which is rare.

As a Giants fan, I wasn't surprised to see Big Blue lose a game several times over and still have the lead at the end of regulation, AND THEN go offsides on the missed field goal and lose on an extra play. All that was missing was Desean Jackson.

Take nothing away from WFT, but the Giants are still mistake-prone and they still go into prevent defense victory mode way too damned early.

And they can't keep their top players healthy. Case in point: Evan Engram.

Joe Judge seems okay, but Gettleman's worn out his welcome.

I saw Kevin Ware live. I'm good for the rest of my life. That was traumatizing enough, thanks.

If some of you are traumatized by a broken leg, it's a good thing you weren't fans of auto racing in the 70's.

CSB: The most gruesome I witnessed was back in HS.  I was a wrestler and watching one of my teammate's matches.  He put his arm out to stop a roll... His right elbow went from > to <

I was there when Nick Johnson broke his leg at Shea Stadium, and HEARD it in the stands, which was gruesome. Also, Napoleon McCallum had a ghastly leg injury on MNF in the opening week of 1994.
