If we can acknowledge that the Republicans fomented insurrection, it's time to stop compromising with them and take action.

Oh, and hold the people who fomented insurrection accountable for their crimes. Let's farking go already.

I love the word 'foment'. It's rarely used, and pretty much every time it's used, it's not in a positive light, but it's a great word.

The Psaki beat down reminded Doocy to take his leather Gimp outfit and ball gag to the dry cleaners.

There was no beating around the bush there. Sounds like the White House is changing their tone about addressing the January 6th situation. I like it.

Maybe she can give lessons.

Gotta get one's political ducks in a row before one can properly enforce the Law. That takes time. Some of the instigators of the insurrection are going to be bypassed for public scrutiny, some will not. I suppose it's mostly about who one's friends are and who their enemies are. There are several members of both houses of Congress who have more enemies than friends, and vice-versa.

Looking at you, Ms. Greene.

Remember, TFG didn't even go to the cursory effort of having a press secretary, and only deigned to take questions from the public when it could be drowned out by deafening white noise from Marine One.

That's definitely how it seems. Each time the legal gears turn, the White House gets more stringent in it's tone about the January 6th insurrection, and who instigated it.

They'd have to exclude Doocy from the pool, because he gets owned so much that the Census Bureau counts him as 3/5 of a person.

Remember when this kind of statement by a press secretary meant the guy would be shiatcanned within a week?

When does Joe tell us about that time a big guy in the Army, a top General, had tears in his eyes as he came up to Joe to thank him for everything he had done?

FarkingIceHole: I love Psaki Bombs

It's like poking your fingers through a chain-link fence that is clearly adorned with signage proclaiming "CAUTION! THIS DOG WILL BITE!"

Regardless if you have a masters degree in creative writing from an Ivy League school, that sign has done everything it was designed to do. Your ability to understand it has been assured by your ascendency and recognition by the industry of which you thrive.

But to convince yourself...that by your accreditation and experience that that dog will not bite me, and KEEP sticking your fingers through the fence...

Time, and time again...

Well. You're a goddam idiot.

Because Marine Todd resigned his commission in disgust.

It's pretty much standard across policies.  You are also probably not covered if debris from the Big Alien Mothership that Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum just disabled falls on your house.

There is only one possible reason that this has not happened already...

There is an opportunity here for our government to make some sweeping changes that could start with expelling members from Congress.  There is legal grounds to do so.  And if simple congressional action doesn't do it, the DOJ can step in with indictments.

This action would give the Democrats the majority rule that they need to push through their progressive agenda, fix the problems that were caused by the last administration, fix the voting rights problems, and push through meaningful legislation for everything from infrastructure. to social safety nets, to healthcare, to civil rights.

They have the opportunity to do do this because a great number of Republicans have violated the rules, the constitution, their oath, and in many cases, THE LAW.

So why haven't they done this?  It can't be for political reasons.  Because as I said, they stand to do nothing but gain from these actions.

The only reason I can think of is that they really don't want to change things.  They really don't want to fix the problems in this country or in the government.  They want things to remain as they are.  That is what keeps them in the news.  That is what keeps them employed.

That, and they are likely complicit themselves, and don't want to get caught in the net.

In any case, the entire government is in a better position when they just talk and talk and talk, so it looks like they are doing things, and allow us out here in the public to fight amongst ourselves.  It is in this position they intend to remain.

This is the best opportunity we have ever seen for the Democrats to wrangle back power from the minority rule.  And they simply will not do it.  And there is nothing we can do about it.

Does it matter? They're not indicting anyone anyway because the DOJ is corrupt as fark.
