Have they even seen the numbers?  How about the composition (vax vs unvax) in the deaths?

Looks to me more like a Republican suicide run, and it seems to be going according to plan.

Doesn;t matter.  What matters is blaming Democrats for everything the Republicans did, rigging the election and stirring up violent revolt.

And the Democrats have absolutely no answer to it.  it's the Big Lie.  You can;t stop it.

Me: here's the math, I've shown you the calculations and where I got the data.  3/4 of recent admissions into the hospital from COVID were from unvaccinated people, a small minority of the state population.
Them: But if the vaccine is so good, why are vaccinated people still going into the hospital?  Anyway, Hunter Biden, amirite?

It's both. Republicans are on a suicide run to kill their constituents by being anti-vaxx and anti-mask. And Democrats are listening to their donor overlords and not calling for lockdowns amidst rising numbers even in highly vaccinated states.

Republicans are far far more dangerous to public health than the Democrats, but the Democrats dragging their feet in the face of an oncoming wave that parallels last year's Thanksgiving wave is also dangerous.

Let me repeat: Republicans are the worst. Democrats are also not listening to the number and doing what's right for society.

Why?  For what purposes?

A Republican will tell you "So they can control you!" and then go on to pass Texas laws and disenfranchise voters where ever they can.

Given the usual projection model with Fox and today's crop of current Republican politicians, this all sounds like a confession.

This time last year, under a Republican POTUS, football stadiums were empty.

It's only because of vaccinations -- which Democrats have pushed hard for, and which Republucans have resisted -- that anyone is at college football games, now.

Vaccinations = football games

Ask yourself "who?" has been pushing vaccination and mitigation, and "who?" has resisted...then read her commentary a second time

It amazes me that Democrats tend to lose because they're not doing enough to prevent the Republicans from destroying the country, so then the Republicans win...and destroy the country. Then they run on "Democrats are weak because they didn't do enough to stop us from destroying the country, so vote for us."

Yeah, this "conflict within the administration" line that Fox and a lot of local news stations has been trotting out is farking stupid but unfortunately effective given how they roll it out to the rubes of the world.

Yes the FDA and WHO have recommended a pause on administering boosters until 2022 but not because providing boosters is unsafe or ineffective. They are making that recommendation based on vaccine efficacy being still more than strong enough at this time in the vaccinated that it's better to use that dose for vaccinating the unvaccinated.

The Biden administration knows the US has all the supply of vaccines it needs and that efficacy can be slightly improved so is recommending a booster for vulnerable populations where it makes sense.

Essentially the WHO is upset we're not sending out extra vaccine doses and wants to make sure other first world countries don't start doing the same as they still need billions of doses world wide and don't want to slow that down, the FDA is looking purely at efficacy data and doesn't have enough to make a recommendation yet and the Biden administration is trying to boost efficacy rates in the midst of a pandemic surge among potentially vulnerable populations.

It's almost like they each are operating under a different set of goals and making safe/productive recommendations based on those goals. Yet the irony that the Biden administration is extending the pandemic isn't lost on me since they would be shreaking their heads off if the administration followed what the WHO wanted done and exported those doses to third world countries instead of jabbing them into the arms of Americans.

Democrats need to stop pretending the Republicans have any interest in governing. Block them entirely from negotiations until they demonstrate that they actually want to work. And yes, kill the filibuster to do so.

They want to call Democrats dictators, then farking oblige them.

We're not playing by the same rules, and the sooner the Democrats realize that, the sooner we can start actually improving shiat around here.

I'm a Democrat and I care about those people and I want a government who shows respect to the people. All the people, even the morons.

Let me repeat:

Here's a Democratic-controlled state with 77% full vaccination rate for people over age of 12.

In King County, last I checked, 30% of all new infections were fully vaccinated, and 30% of deaths were fully vaccinated  (only 13% of hospitalizations were fully vaccinated). That means that vaccinations do work (I repeat: EVERYBODY NEEDS TO GET VACCINATED) since the 20% not vaccinated population make up 70% of cases, but it also means that we need more stringent policies in the face of Delta (and probably Mu).

Democrats were very good about getting vaccinations out. That doesn't mean that COVID is finished yet.
