Outward idiocy is not a problem for them in most states

It also helps to remember that Newsom is not Gray Davis and Elder is not Schwarzenegger.

AlgaeRancher: Outward idiocy is not a problem for them in most states

That. It didn't work because it's California. In comfortably red states, this is indeed expected.

It also helps that Elder is a white supramacist.

Newsom is what Donald Trump thought we has. When Trump realized the Dems thought he was a loser, he turned heel. His son is literally eating Newsom's table scraps.

Pathetic.

That's a bonafide once you get about 20mi inland.

Is it legal here to repeat your comment from an earlier thread?

I am in CA. I voted no on the recall. There were many obvious fake candidates on the list to vote for if the recall wins. I voted for a Dem software engineer with a Vietnamese name just to vote for someone. An software engineer ought to be logical. The first person on the list was a marijuana advisor. On some advisor board, I guess. But I don't know if her advise is for or against so I skipped her. It will be interesting to see the vote totals. But not if the recall succeeds.

I knew a guy who has the same as Larry Elder, though I don't want to say what his name was out of respect for his privacy. Anyway, my guy was a good dude.

FarkingChas: A software engineer ought to be logical.

... so you've never, ever done anything where the people dealing with back-end software in any form were even in the same room as you, and don't own a computer or a phone?

Impressive that you somehow got a post up on this website, you pass your niece a buck to type it in or something?

Nobody likes Democrats until they learn about Republicans.

Good, edicts from Larry are definitely not the new Elder scrolls we need

The argument of "He ate at the French Laundry!" was also pretty weak.  You have to be super out of touch to have that be of concern.

Did the GOP run any serious candidates?  Their secret weapon was a washed-up talk show host who wanted reparations for slave owners. V

I've assumed that the louder the cries of "fake results!" The GOP cries, the larger the thrashing they're facing tonight

It has been and continues to be a grift.  No republican thought they'd win, but they'll sure use this as a fundraising claim.

Oh no.  He should have used Texas and Florida as Covid models.  They're running out of space in freezer trucks to stack the bodies.

Newsom is like being governed by a golden retriever. Nobody expects much beyond him being pretty.

2021-09-14 7:25:04 PM
From the little I know about him:

- The guy thinks ADA is a mistake and that accommodations for disabilities should be left to the free market.
- Believes climate change is a hoax.
- Supports COVID-19 anti-vaxxers.

I did not vote for that sleazy slime-ball Gray Davis ( I believe I wrote in Frank Zappa that year), but I voted NO on his recall. I was pissed off that we were wasting so much money on something that would be resolved on the next election.

That said, Mr. Terminator made a much better governor than I ever imagined.

This is most certainly not the same situation.

Let us know when you can even step foot on a Jesuit University school campus without being escorted out by people with service weapons.

Gavin managed to get a BA from one, which compared to you might as well be a doctorate in a science field.

We've heard a lot that Newsome was polling poorly this summer, but that was well before the election. Could just be that people WANTED a better choice than Newsome (but one never presented itself) or weren't paying attention until it was closer to the election. Sure, Newsome is thought to be a pompous, dense, corporate Dem (at least according to my Cali friends), but that just means he'd always poll poorly against a hypothetical candidate or when folks aren't paying attention. The only reason the media would assume the summer polls meant an automatic loss is horserace.

Yeah, I know GOP stupid.

Am I the only one who has been a jittery nervous wreck all day due to an immense fear of Newsome losing and having that other moron give Feinstein's senate seat to a Trumper? It may be a California vote but the possible fallout would affect the whole damn nation.

What does logical have to do with corrupt? Sounds like you have never written a program in your life. And could not write one if your life depended on doing it. And no, not one of my programming environments involved back-end software. Do you do all the conspiracy theories? Now do 5g or nano-bots.

We no longer can expect people to make the right personal choice anymore and should get them vaccinated for the greater good of the health of the country regardless if they like it or not

I also voted no.  On the list of candidates there was a write-in option.  I wrote in Gavin Newsom.  If enough people have opted for this strategy, it is possible for Newsom to be both recalled and re-elected on the same ballot.
