The best part is where he gets the panelists to dunk on the real Wolfowitz.

Also, the real Wolfowitz is exactly as insane as he was back in 2001.

They called him back? Christ I knew it was amateur hour every hour there, but that's really dumb.

Wouldn't be surprised if they try and sue him now.

It's not fair to Newsmax to call them a news channel, though. The dude running scheduling from his mom's basement can only validate so many things.

"Laughtivism"

Ok. Hit me...

"I've got to tell you, Newsmax is a much bigger threat to America than the hijackers of 9/11," said Bichlbaum right before they cut him off."

The credulity of these right wing "news" sites is astounding. It happens so often it's not even newsworthy. Hell, sometimes they just make shiat up out of the whole cloth.

However, some local station runs a report on something isn't accurate, other National media picks it up, then posts a retraction within a few hours, and every major news purveyor runs with a story about how broken our news media is for days on end.

Newsmax isn't news. It's propaganda. They do a shiat job at this stuff because they don't have anyone there with the skills to actually seek truth.

It's an interesting question for journalism students. If your purpose is to lie, what should happen when someone tells the truth

I wonder how easy this is to set-up.  I'm guessing as easy as posing as his own publicist, calling the News Director's office, dropping a name and saying "Mr. Wolfowitz cannot be on the 9:00PM show. Apologize and ask if there is an alternate time you wish to interview him please let us know."

The person taking the call is not going to say they know nothing about it.  They will most certainly at least get the contact information for the publicist.

They will look into it and although they can't find any reference to what the publicist is talking about, they will end up talking about when they could interview him about 9/11.  That's all there is to it.

he's 77 years old and has a totally different voice than the much-younger Bichlbaum

Maybe they thought he was Teen Wolfowitz.

Newsmax and OAN really do look like porn parodies of Fox News without any porn in them.

Lies.

The actual Texan phrase is: "Fool me once, I gobble gobble gobble."

For people who only skimmed or did not read the article: The headline does not do this justice, the prankers did not initiate the 2nd prank as its the newsmax that called them. They never realized that the first time was a prank so they kept the contact informations on file. On the 2nd call the pranksted dunked on Newsmax because he did not want to be called again, so they cutp him off saying "Thank you for your service." From their comments afterwards they still did not have a clue. Newsmax are so stupid that I think there might be a part 3.

Now, I've heard Texans, and all I got out of it when they said that phrase was "Howdy howdy howdy yeehaw dagnabbit howdy howdy howdy Alamo!"
