"Last week, Rep. Chris Jacobs (R-N.Y.) disclosed 13 securities trades, totaling more than $356,000,"

"Rep. Bobby Scott (D-Va.) disclosed two stock sales from December 2020. The trades-sales of shares in publicly traded automotive technology company CDK Global and consumer products firm Colgate-Palmolive-totaled more than $2,000."

Clearly BSAB.

Why do we even report on this?  Literally nothing ever happens to these people.  Ever.  What's the point.

They never get sent up the river for this, but Joe Blow from Kokomo would get 5-10 years and a huge fine.

The owner class like to rub it in the noses of the oppressed from time to time.

George Floyd was tortured to death for allegedly passing a counterfeit $20 bill and being uppity. American Taliban criminals steal hundreds of thousands up to millions of dollars and never face any sort of consequences for it.

But tell me again how Millennials Are Entitled™.

Congressman broke rules because there are never any consequences.

Corruption from a New York Democrat? *yawn*

Corruption from a New York Republican? That's news.

For failure to report? To whom? Their employer? This isn't like tax evasion.

I'm not allowed to dumpster dive my federal dumpster because as a federal employee it's not allowed. If I could do so, it might encourage me to throw things out so I could essentially steal them. That's right, I can't take home government stuff that is still useable but is being replaced.

The rich and powerful have their own set of rules and the second rule is the rest are voluntary. The first is "don't screw over rich people in unacceptable ways".

Is that alleged here? TFA just talks about failure to report trades within a 45 day window

This should be a lottery system: if you buy a ticket, you have a chance to get the corruption funds of your current representative.

Two more congressmen joined the growing ranks of lawmakers who've recently failed to report their securities trades within 45 days, as federal law requires (for you poors).

Well, if George Floyd had maybe tried a little harder and became a Congresscritter, he'd still be alive!

Worse, we give tax cuts, subsidies and/or to the American Taliban when they're "inconvenienced" by sick workers or other bad situations that they may have caused by their business practices, or just because wealthy people "deserve it".

The worst kept non-secret in congress is that they trade on inside info.

And once again Martha is in the corner sobbing ... wondering why insider trading is all white for some but not others.

Was it some Demonrat hypocrite, or some enterprising free market GQPer who isn't afraid to stretch the rules?

What I want to know is how THIS congresscritter happened to have so much money?
