Internet security requires expertise and dedication and they don't come cheap.

Also Y'all Qaeda will have to find someone ethically and socially stunted to do it: not impossible by any means, but you're looking at a smaller slice of the Venn diagram union between skilled, paid, and amoral. You also risk exposure to saboteurs and fifth column slipping past your vetting with extremely invested motivation to destroy you completely from within as quickly as possible.

It's so easy to knock down complex interdependent systems, so hard to build. It thrills me to see right to life terrorists learn this lesson first hand.

I love WordPress btw. Great platform.

Bit...if God is on their side, why then does God keep letting those evil Liberals trip them up like this?
It's almost as if God either doesn't exist, or isn't actually as hate-filled as they imagine.

As someone who has managed internet-facing WordPress sites, I can tell you that while it's very good for end users and content editors, it's an absolute nightmare for admins. The codebase is very flimsy, requiring frequent updates to keep up with security updates. It depends on lots of modules, often developed by third parties, for its functionality, with nary a thought put into them to ensure security. The only way to ensure that a WordPress site is secure is to run it in a chroot jail and make it read-only, and even that is not 100% guaranteed.

It'd be a shame if somebody used their PII to file a suit alleging that they'd aided somebody seeking an abortion

/ Remember that, under this law, guilt is presumed - it's the defendants task to prove that they didn't provide that aid

I saw that before, so do you have to refute any and all claims with alibis? I mean I know it was designed to be terrible, but what do they think will happen in court?

The human shiat of the pro-life movement do not care about the consequences of their actions. If they did, they would stop endlessly working to create more abortions and more deaths.

They are conscienceless, feral garbage who exist only to publicly masturbate about what good people they are.

This woman and organization can go eat shiat.  They're happy to help doctors get murdered.  I hope the people that work for this place have to go into hiding, see how they like it.

I used wordpress briefly at work before they abandoned it, then used it to set up a site for someone.  It's decent, but I wouldn't want to run it for anything important.  I'm sure it can be secured, but it would probably be more work that it would be to migrate to something more secure to begin with.

Y'All Qaeda is finding out that competent techbros willing to support white supremacy are few and far between and even those that do are more likely working for Amazon or Google for bank.

Scientology learned very early on that you can do the most damage by paying absolute top dollar to black hats. That and their budget for PIs and lawyers is essentially unlimited.

It's really pretty easy: DON'T STORE SHIAT ON YOUR WEBSITE THAT ISN'T DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE PURPOSE OF THE SITE.

Seriously, there is no reason to store that info on the same device that is on the web. There are a billion ways to make this safe, they just need to isolate stuff like this on a system not reachable from the website computer.

"We are taking action to protect the concerned individuals," said Kimberlyn Schwartz, a spokesperson for Texas Right to Life, told TechCrunch, referring to those who "sought and circulated the information."
When asked, Schwartz would not say if the organization planned on informing those whose personal information was exposed by its security lapse.

Is this bad writing or is Ms. Schwartz more concerned about protecting the hackers than the victims?
