Good on whoever helped him find his nutsack.

Now the GOP has a choice -- theatrically scream "TYRANNY" and just let this happen for a while and give school boards the ability to say "our hands are tied" in the face of the crazies, or, come back early from vacation to specifically vote to undo the order to cut Delta spread among kids, knowing parents can't work if their kids are exposed.

Well, I think it was called correctly last week that asking the legislature to pass a school mask mandate was a CYA maneuver in anticipation of issuing one this week. If the legislature actually did it, great, but this means the GOP has less of a procedural grounds to claim Wolf didn't follow the rules.

At least I don't have to wear a mask.

Oh, I am so going to show up to a school board meeting (even if I don't live in the district) and bring a bunch of my nutter friends and scream and shout until the place erupts in chaos. Might even follow the board out to the parking lot and yell 'I KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE'. You know, like a calm rational type person.

They tried this in my district. The board immediately set up rules where you had to enter through a metal detector, provide photo ID and proof of residence, strict mask policy, and had to pre-register your name to speak for a maximum of 3 minutes. Yes, it's come to this.

Biden should do an executive order making it nationwide policy. Those who refuse will see feds coming in to arrest the schools officials for conspiracy to murder kids.

I hope they do this at future school board meetings here. We had a parent tossing around Nazi salutes and yelling "Heil Hitler" along with other nutjobs that showed up to promote horse dewormer and call masks child abuse.

Shiate, the MAGAts by me just got a local county Health Commisioner fired because he hurt their fee-fees by posting on his personal faecesbook account that antivaxxers should be refused coverage of Covid by their health insurance providers ,as an incentive to get vaccinated.
He also had the audacity to tell people to wear masks and strongly (how dare he) suggested to the local school boards that they mandate masks. I can't even imagine the farkin Gong Show that will be the next couple of school board elections...we're going to have the dumbest, least educated people running our local schools.

52% of us voted to amend our state constitution to take away the Governor's powers to issue these "emergency declarations".  This isn't about giving the middle finger to the GOP as much as it is giving the middle finger to those of us who helped elect the governor, as well as giving a middle finger to those who believe that having a democratically elected government that adheres to the rule of law is more important than whatever crisis an official might use to justify ignoring the law and the will of the voters.

Haven't there been articles floating around about how a number of the crazies who are getting up and speaking at these meetings have been washed up actors and models?

I get that those people might have kids in those schools, but considering how often the GQP accuses everyone else of hiring actors for everything from protests to school shootings, the old axiom about accusing your enemies of doing what you are doing seems to fit them here.

All 12% of registered voters in PA who voted to strip his powers away.

It's not much of a mandate if you only get 25% of voters to participate.

Belief in a democratically elected government you say?

Yet 64 PA republican members including leadership requested Congress not count electoral votes and prevent votes from being cast for Democratic President-elect Joe Biden.

Or, is that an entirely different democratic process altogether?

I think that perhaps the Pennsylvanians in Amsterdam might not have appreciated that restricting a governor's ability to impose business restrictions for urgent public health reasons doesn't restrict the governor's ability to impose restrictions in public schools for urgent public health reasons.

Honestly, making the hard decisions and taking the heat should be considered the most important of executive powers. FSM knows county, city and school district officials are too exposed to abuse by crisis-parent-actors.

I know that John Oliver and Cody Johnston have both pointed out that these efforts have been significantly astroturfed and most, if not all, of these "concerned parents" have strong ties to conservative groups specifically built around doing this nonsense.
