Back in the late 70's and 80's there was a steak house that had these life size fiberglass cows in front of them.  Nearly every Spring one would be stolen in the night and it became a local event to track it down.  After a few years it became the task of the local rock station to figure out what was going on as well as negotiate for the release of it.  Somewhere in the footage is the cow in all its glory mounted on the front of a Boston Whaler and tearing around the Charles River near the Esplanade.

States of being for cows:
1) Are
2) Aren't

At the time of the writing of TFA, they were "are".

No, you fix your brain dead arbitrary code execution.

The day 911 requires JavaScript I'll leave this place willingly.

They basically stole most of their article from the NY Times but stuffed up the copypasta. NYT had all the background info on where the original concept came from.

You realize the headline is referencing the Thin Lizzy song, and optikeye was acknowledging that? Or are you trying for a gag that I'm missing?

The one of the Twitter accounts he unsuccessfully sued to find out the users' real names.

I was furthering the gag by changing the lyrics to spread the herd around, since it is about cows.
