I look for women with "swiveling hips".

I'm not going to say every evolutionary trait we have is smart, but we seem to have won.

Also my argument against intelligent design. Shoulders and knees. Nobody intelligent designs the shoulder and knee joint. Now, if you want to postulate a vindictive god designing humanity....now we're talking.

I dunno. I knew this girl in college, man she swiveled her hips while she walked. More than once I purposely stayed a few steps behind. Didn't hurt that she had a perfect bubble butt.

Ok great, now show me how long the Chimp's strides are when he runs on two legs.

What's that?  Chimps don't run on two legs?  Hmmm, that's odd they should be a lot better than humans with those 27% longer walking strides.

I knew that girl. You didn't lose your girlfriend, you lost your turn.

Oh, no no, I had a turn. She was never the girlfriend. And she wanted it to stay like that.
She was fun to be around and crazy in the sack. Lost touch with her after college.

We might not be the fastest runners, but we can run down just about anything. We have great endurance.

I'll give you the knee, but let's see _your_ design for a single joint that can access well over 2 π steradians of solid angle with no ball bearings.

If you want to talk shiat design, let's talk about the lower back that routinely develops arthritis by age 45.

You vs wolf running across  Canada in spring, fall, or winter.  Ready.  Set.  Go.  :D

Sled dogs will also totally pwn you.  As will horses with enough water and food readily available.

Ya, I know.  I know.  Humans are fantastic endurance runners, and if it's warm or hot outside, we have no equals because we are happy to trade water for temperature control, and we gave up our fur a long time ago.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure you don't actually want to race a hungry wolf as it'll never get to the endurance portion of the event.  Just ask Duran Duran.

Hey, humans are the best at destroying their living systems so fast that they cant evolve fast enough to overcome the decay.
Those other animals never even got close.

I don't really give a fark what you think you're think you're capable of, when you do that.

Get a group of fit humans working together and they'll track all those animals until they get tired.  That's how a lot of human hunting has worked historically.  No fights, no lucky shots, just a long battle of attrition.

We got a brain large enough to bring about a level of destruction other species can't, yet it's not quite large enough to realise that we need the things we are destroying. Quite unfortunate really.

Just don't lose the trail on the target, I truly believe that's a big reason for us having more brainpower.  You need to think ahead of the prey to run it down if it's faster than you are on the short haul.

This is also why you may want team work with runners staged along the prey's projected or actively herded path to keep the chase going at such a speed the prey gives out.

Dogs have already mastered the whole run prey into a circle of more dogs thing.  I thought it came down to the ability to dump heat running had the convenient side effect of being able to dump heat from a giant brain.

It was.

Up until about the longbow.

Not a lucky shot. Just a competent one.
It has enough force for a killing blow to most animals.
Then cooperation can take out herds rather than stragglers.

And we have continued apace, creating at random and learning of the consequences later.

Wanna build a wall?

Start hauling all that plastic out of the sea  and melting it into cubes.
You might even get a cheque from the international community for cleaning up the ocean. If we're lucky Mexico might even chip in a few pesos.

Seal it well. We don't want wind erosion  to spread microplastics everywhere.
Put that whole
"this is not a place honour, there is bad stuff in here" thing they have written for where they put the nuke stuff.

Or build a pyramid, store grain.

I dunno, sculptures that double as homeless shelters

Houses for people wh ...

I dont think a pyramid was really designed to store grain. Perhaps certain pyramids benefit agriculture in some other fashion, but not as a storage house.
