They were bought out by a marketing company or something.  Before they went bankrupt they sold whatever cheap plastic Chinese garbage everyone else was selling, for higher prices than Amazon.
That business model is over, they will never enjoy the same market share as before. Just open a toy section in Macy's.  No need to pay for the dead brand name.

So a dead brand operating inside a dying brand?

Worst Walking Dead spinoff ever.

Haha!  My wife was crushed when the Disney store in the mall near us closed down (thank god!) but she seems to have forgotten all about the Disney "store" inside the Super Target relatively close by.  And I thought there was a Disney "store" inside Macy's as well, but perhaps I'm confusing Macy's with a different anchor.

Not that Target (or even Disney) is a dying brand, but that's what this reminded me of.

They exist as a shell of their former self. The one near me is understaffed and their "sale" area on the second floor looks almost like a thrift shop.

It's not the "fancy" place it used to be, that's for sure.

I know the last year or two they did have Toys R Us pop up stores in malls after Halloween Sprits moved out for the season.

reminder that Toys R Us was a profitable business that was intentionally murdered by private equity

Are they going to put a Starbucks inside the Toys R Us inside the Macys?

Just to think we would all have to grow up by now.
