Druid Hills Way will be the new name

Does that have any local significance? Is it one of those rando things like when property developers have an afternoon to name all the streets in a new subdivision?

It edges out the developments from the postwar years where all the roads are named after the developer's kids... the kids are all in their 70's now, and the homeowners are stuck in a house on Ethel Drive.

Zebulon Baird Vance was a Confederate military officer in the American Civil War, the 37th Governor of NC with the Conservative Party of NC (during Civil War) and 43rd Governor of North Carolina and U.S. Senator as a Democrat (after Civil War).

Could be worse. Could be like a development near me that decided to name some of the streets after cities in Afghanistan.

He pulls a dagger, you pull a scimitar. He sends one of yours to the cleric, you send one of his to the necromancer. It's the Druid way.

it was about inclusivity among dorks and sacrifices had to be made. the druid was one such thing, so certain geeks could still play.

After AD&D, they come in 3rd power/utility wise behind the wizard and cleric. But yea, in AD&D they were trash.

Years ago I scribbled a bit of fiction about a little redneck town in Mississippi. Among other things, the city fathers were under pressure to change the street names from Lee, Davis, Forrest, Jackson etc. to names honoring notable people of African descent. So they came up with Idi Amin Avenue, Charles Taylor Road, Winnie Mandela Circle, etc.

Lived in Charlotte for about six years and hadn't heard of these streets besides Stonewall and Morrison. Then again, I didn't spend much time going places in West Charlotte besides the airport and Wilkinson Blvd.

/Down to the Paper Doll...the first strip club I encountered where they made change in $2 bills

Orlando recently renamed Stonewall Jackson Road after Roberto Clemente.

The Middle School named after Jackson there also being renamed after Clemente.

I wonder if Stevie Wonder thinks maybe he should re-do the "peace has come to Zimbabwe" bit in Master Blaster.
