My favorite way to prepare zucchini. I usually grow them, but... severe drought. :(
I'm going to grill steak and corn later, so I'll stop and get a few 'zukes on the way home.
I'm a zoodler as well, just not today.

Psychopusher: Deep fried zucchini sticks are great, too

Lightly battered/breaded incl parmesan then air fried is definitely a winner.

Do Fark users grow any other vegetables besides zucchini? There have been 3 threads in as many days.

I'm about to start a yam thread just to switch it up.

I had some pickled zucchini and now I'm kind of obsessed with zucchini pickles.

Actually now that I think about every zucchini I've ever bought* was used as a sex toy*.

Cucumbers are used in pims cups and the two times I made  tzatziki sauce.

* All three, and this was pre online sex toy shopping.  And a small college town and frankly I don't have to justify what my so was into at the time.

Grandpa's favorite zucchini recipe:
Put zucchini in the vitamix, blend smooth.
Then flush it all down the toilet.

I once inherited some zucchini, which I normally don't like, and decided to make pickles. They turned out kinda edible. I sliced them thin and filled a rectangular Tupperware. Sprinkled salt on each layer and added dill, interspersed with a couple layers of red onions. Topped with vinegar. Waited a couple weeks. Very similar in texture and taste with cucumber pickles. Not quite as crunchy.

Zucchini is basically water and has the unenviable property of making everything it is cooked with less tasty. Cucumber at least has flavor.

We used to grow zucchini but realized we don't really like it enough.  It's ok but rather tasteless.

fasahd: I've made eggplant rollatinl  and it came out just okay, a local dive did an excellent job on it But I thought of all the things you could roll with eggplant or zucchini and I was serious, but no response, so I'll try again Has anyone used one of these before?

Obviously not by the number of replies. Personally, I've never seen one before, and just wonder why for.
I do have a zoodler that makes strings or flat spirals, that seems more practical/useful.

1 lb Eyetatin caseless sausage
Some mushrooms, an onion, garlic... and whatever else you please
1 jar tomato based pasta sauce of choice
1-2 lbs of zoodled zucchini

In a stock pot, cook/brown the sausage and remove. Drain most of the oil.
Saute the veggies until cooked but not limp.
Add zoodles, pasta sauce and cooked snausage
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, taste and adjust as needed.
Serve with french bread or whatever

A simple, cheap 1 pot meal that is delicious and nutritious.
