I guessing putting an corrupt former official that should be facing criminal charges on a board is a good move if you want something inserted removed from a law she can work.

I almost shopped there today for the first time. I walked through the store. 1970's grocery store. Prices weren't terrible if you had the implant chip. I did not buy anything.

OK, I guess I did shop, just didn't purchase...geez.....

Cool, Kroger has the lowest pharmacy prices. Thank God my dog doesn't need $400 in prescriptions anymore.

Yup.  fark off Ralphs and Food For Less
Taking my grocery shopping to Vons, Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Mothers, Target, Walmart.   Plenty of other places to buy groceries around here.  fark Kroger.

Fark!  I like Kroger and there's not many grocery options around here.  Gonna have to try to find another option though.

dionysusaur: Aldi and Meijer FTW!

The Meijer family are super active in Republican politics, although Peter Meijer is probably going to lose his seat in the House after voting to impeach Trump. Also, their stores are non-union, while Kroger is unionized.

Aldi is alright, but a lot of the cost-cutting that enables their low prices comes at the expense of labor.

In conclusion, shop at CostCo, I guess. Or Publix* or Winco if you live near them.

*:Founding family of Publix are also GOP nuts, but a majority of the company is employee-owned at this point

Before her first day change all the passwords, locks, and bolt anything you don't want stolen to the floor or frame of the building.  Lmao, they might as well file for bankruptcy now.

Well, that's the end of my trips to Kroger.

Used to shop there because it was a good place.  With her on the board, it will never be a good place.  And I will NEVER support a business she or her traitor husband is affiliated with.

We got an Aldi near us.  And Sentri, and Sendicks, and Wally-world (which I currently refuse to shop at) Heck, even Fleet farm has groceries.

Anything to keep money away from the treason-weasels.

Why would you choose to live there? This is a huge country with so many wonderful cities.

Living in a city will give you a happier longer life.  It's been proven soooo many times.

And the traffic on ancient infrastructure is the icing on the shiat cake

I *really* love my dog. He had to have an inflammatory mass in his stomach, de-massed back at the beginning of June, in order for him to eat. Without GoodRX, the prescriptions for recovery would have been $400, $800 counting the refill that I needed.

He's now back to normal and I couldn't be happier.

I haven't been to an Aldi in decades, is it really a substitute for an actual grocery store these days?  Never even heard of Sentri and Sendicks.

Last time I was in a Kroger it was when I was in college, in a decent sized town in rural Missouri.  For grocery store options we had a Kroger, a Walmart, a Kmart *that was falling apart* an Aldi and a "Country Mart", when I found the latter, on the outskirts of town, I never went back to Kroger.

Most Kroger's I've seen since were when I was on the road, and they were in towns that would be food deserts if there weren't the Kroger there.

Aldi's has gotten a lot better since they bought their own farms and are growing their own meat.  Back when they were buying that 'leftover' crap, it sucked.  Their produce is still a little on the 'not great' side, but it's getting better. Still focused on the generics, which in most (not all) cases is just as good as the name brand.

Dunno.  I focus on the fresh stuff that doesn't need a label.  I like cooking.

You can't get chick fil sammich or dipping sauce just anywhere.

There are grocery stores other than Kroger everywhere

Their produce seems to all be 'seconds'. Apples that are smaller than the Metcalfe's (spendy grocery store) wants. Grapes that taste great but aren't as vibrant as the ones at WholePaycheck. Lemons that are scuffed. My only warning about Aldi produce is that the onions CONSISTENTLY have about half the storage life of first string onions from a regular grocery.

The cheese though? HOLY HECK can you find some great deals on random European imports. Work a weekly walk-through just for that.
