Unlike the mouthbreathing mumblef*ck horde who "just don't wanna," this guy ostensibly has a medical reason (Guillain-Barré, though vaccination is only rarely responsible for an attack). May not be the best justification, but it is some justification.

I've taken care of people with that and I am sceptical. They couldn't stand, much less play drums. It is a shiatty thing to have.
It may be mild and he's afraid to exacerbate it however....

He says he already had COVID without an exacerbation. That would be more likely than the vaccine to cause a problem.

People who have previously had GBS may receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To date, no cases of GBS have been reported following vaccination in participants in the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. One case of GBS was reported in a vaccinated participant in the Johnson & Johnson Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine clinical trial (compared to one GBS case among those who received placebo). With few exceptions, the independent Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) general best practice guidelines for immunization do not include a history of GBS as a precaution to vaccination with other vaccines.

Per the CDC

Jesus tap-dancing Christ, half the population?  If you're going to pull numbers out of your ass at least try and make them believable at passing glance.  I know a ton of people that have received the vaccine, none of them had a reaction you could describe as 'shockingly different' than what was expected.  I know that's just my personal experience, but if half the population were having these supposedly severe reactions to the vaccine then statistically speaking I should know at least one person who has had one of these reactions.

And up until that point he was sounding very reasonable and I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on the whole 'medical reasons' excuse, because there are some people out there that legitimately cannot receive the vaccine.  But then he throws out that complete anti-vax bullshiat, and then everything else he just said is automatically bullshiat too.  This is just virtue signalling to all the other plague rat assholes out there.

A friend of mine has a sister why dealt with that a couple years ago, so she's been nervous as hell with the shot. She decided to get it, because getting covid is an even bigger risk and she is terrified of what would happen to get family if she ever got it.

I can't imagine what one thinks when you have those kinds of potential risks. But to me, being hesitant because of that is understandable, where the conspiracy pedlars should just be held down and jabbed.

Not especially. It's probably proportional to society when you think about how many of them there are compared to how many popular bands exist.

Oh, and add Greg Graffin and Brian May to that list.

If he already had Covid then he has been vaccinated. Vaccines are neutered versions of the virus that give you the antibodies developed from overcoming a virus. If you overcome a virus you have those antibodies. Seems like there's more to the story.

Almost none of what you said is true.

Antibodies from the vaccines last longer than the antibodies from getting over the virus.

The vaccines are not neutered versions of the virus. They are messenger RNA molecules carrying the proteins which make up the spike protein the virus uses. They cause your body to create that protein so then your body creates antibodies to destroy the proteins. Later, when your body is exposed to SARS-CoV-2 (the virus which causes Covid) your body sees those proteins and the antibodies your body already knows how to create rips them apart. Without the spike proteins, the vaccines can't enter your cells to reproduce.

Cosby had an honorary doctorate from Temple that he was stupid proud of. That's why in the Cosby Show credits he was billed as "William H. Cosby, Ed.D."  He never actually graduated from the school though, so they awarded him that based on his work with children with Fat Albert.

After he was arrested, the university recinded the honor and now he's just William H. Cosby, rapist.
