Disney really is getting "careful" with their money nowadays. Besides ripping off Scarlett Johansson, just based on the trailer, the CGI in Jungle Cruise is terrible. The snake looked worse than the one in Anaconda (1997).

Watched it last night. If you've seen Pirates of the Caribbean, you've seen this. That's not a terrible thing, the first PotC was fun, but there's not much original here. The Rock and Emily Blunt do work well together.

I'm behind the curve, but caught Wrath of Man at the local drive in.  I wasn't expecting anything that good.  Felt more straightforward than a Guy Ritchie movie, but really well done.

It's good to see multiple interesting movies out again.  I'll definitely see Green Knight, probably Stillwater.  McCarthy's a good writer and the reviews make it sound more interesting than what I was expecting.

Jungle Cruise was fun. It is what it is. A PG Disney movie about their ride. If you're expecting Indiana Jones, you fail at going to movies.
My daughter bought tickets to Snake Eyes.
I wasn't expecting much, felt like a straight to video movie.
Btw, Why does he talk so much? I thought Snake Eyes never talked. That was his thing. I'm also a fan of Samara Weaving but I felt like she was really phoning it in.
Is GI JOE supposed to be an Avengers thing with the one offs?

Everytime I see a trailer for Jungle Cruise, I swear my mind thinks Dwayne Johnson is making a movie about Bluto from Popeye.

I haven't watched it yet. But I'm wondering if that might be intentional. The big snake at the ride is quite obviously an animatronic.

I do plan to watch it for the nostalgia element. But i can say for certainty, after 2 years as a Tour Guide on the Jungle Cruise ride, no one there ever looked like The Rock.

The Skipper Dan physique was much more accurate.

We paid for the early rental and me, Mrs. SLEZE and SLEZE Jr. all thought it was fun and cute.  SLEZE Jr. Jr. is too young and bailed.  I think we got our money's worth.

They didn't rip her off. Her lawsuit is deceptive. First her contract doesn't say exclusive release it stated release in 4000 theaters which it was. There was no wording for streaming release in it. Second it hinges on Disney Plus Premiere Access competing with the theaters and hurting the box office receipts. Which it isn't. The only thing hurting the number of people going to the movies is people not wanting to catch Covid and die. The day of the movie theater is dead. I'm pretty sure given her contract is a percentage of the Gross she gets a cut of the Gross Profit of the movie. Essentially she should fire which ever moron gave her the idea to sue.

Really getting tired of people claiming that Consumers are automatically going to do something if another option doesn't exist. For me paying 30 dollars to watch a movie on Disney Plus isn't worth it. Then again I'm not sure going to a movie theater is exactly safe right now.  The only reason I've been going is because nobody is in the theater. I saw Jungle Cruise there were 4 people in a 250 person theater.... When I saw Black Widow there were all of 6 people in a 250 Imax theater. When I saw Black Widow there were 2 people in the 250 person theater. I think there is a much simpler reason movies aren't doing well.

PEOPLE DON'T FEEL SAFE GOING TO SEE A MOVIE WITH HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE PACKED INTO A THEATER FOR 2 HOURS WHILE COVID EXISTS.

How about a Haunted Mansion film?

Oh, wait.

BTW, Disney is being sued by the SFWA as well. Seems when they bought Star Wars they decided they didn't buy the obligation to pay authors of existing SW novels royalties on continuing sales. I'm hoping for an epic smackdown with hefty damages for acting in bad faith, but I'm sure it will spend years crawling through the courts.

We just got out of Green Knight and I cannot recommend it enough.  It is the perfect vehicle for someone who is suffering insomnia.  We spent the entire movie waking each other up.  A kindness would have been letting each other just get a nice peaceful sleep.

Maybe if we knew more of the legend of Gawain it would have made more sense.    Instead it just a series of scenes with some title cards to give a hunt of what was going to happen.

We get many characters introduced with no explanation about who or what they are and in so many instances we never find their motivations.

Lastly how the hell do you have a movie about knights with no sword fights.  None at all?

Okay it's not the worst movie I've ever say through or paid for.

But it certainly makes the list.
