Who said anything about the State of Arizona?

The voters wouldn't have approved this drastic measure if they didn't think something was wrong.

Which voters approved what measure?

Sgt Otter: Herb Utsmelz: • Bill Barr/DOJ: No evidence of voter fraud
• Republican governors endorsed by trump: No evidence of election fraud
• Judges appointed by trump: No evidence of election fraud
• Election Officials who voted for trump: No evidence of voter fraud
• Cyber security officials appointed by trump: No evidence of election fraud
• Trump's allies (Chris Christie, Tucker Carlson, etc): No evidence of voter fraud
• Dept of Homeland Security: No evidence of election fraud
• Legal Experts: No evidence of election fraud
• Media: No evidence of voter fraud
• Trump's own lawyers: This is not a case of voter fraud
• Random trump keyboard warrior on the internet: ThE TRutH wiLL CoMe oUt! 👀

Trump's experts:

* Joshua "The Spider" Merritt, an alleged Army "counterintelligence officer."  He failed the Intelligence Analyst apprentice course and was reclassified as an enlisted Humvee mechanic.

* Mellissa Carone, a "cybersecurity expert" who claimed a Cybersecurity Associate's degree from the University of Michigan which has never offered one.    She also claimed to have a non-existent "Cisco Security Plus" certification.  Sec+ is offered by CompTIA.  Cisco does CCNA.  Several of the companies she listed on her LinkedIn profile denied ever employing her.  By most accounts, she is a sporadically employed stripper.

Miss Carone seems like an interesting choice as a cyber investigator.

I wonder what brought her to TFG's attention.

puffy999: helloyesthisisdog: Hyperbolic Hyperbole: "Just say it was corrupt, we'll take care of the rest"

I have to admit, I remain convinced that the reason republicans are SO sure the election was tainted is because they themselves tainted it, and figure the only way they could cheat that hard and still lose is if they were out-cheated.

Oh it's definitely this. That's why trump constantly talks about how he got more votes than any other sitting president in history and so many more than in 2016. He was worried about losing, so he cheated, but being trump he needed it to be BIG so he could also brag. It was supposed to be his mandate (probably to stay in office until he died). That's why he insists it was STOLEN from him. Has he even said Dems "cheated"? I'm pretty sure he only says the election was "stolen" which to me is telling

It's also why they're making such a stink over faux-fraud.

Because when the truth comes knocking, just like the 1/6 thing, it's going to be endless cries of "oh you didn't let us investigate YOU!" or "we found nothing on you so there's obviously nothing on us!" or some other stupid bullshiat.

Lol. Voters had no say here you clown. It was initiated and approved by the majority Republicans in the Arizona state senate. Two of whom have since recanted, calling it a sham.

And I know that when I want to project legitimacy I immediately think of the firm called Cyber Ninjas who are led by a conspiracy theorist nutjob with zero election experience.

"The vote totals were about the same as were reported in November, but that's not important.  What's important is that we discovered several things to be concerned about.  No, none of those things were shown to have been a factor in this election, but they are concerning.  While we can't put the details down in our public report, for security reasons of course, we will be supporting legislation to address these very important concerns."

That's the best they can hope for without outright lying.  I'm gonna bet they'll go with outright lying.

HairBolus: > The turmoil casts even more doubt on the conclusions of what backers describe as a "forensic audit" but what experts and critics say is a deeply flawed, partisan process.

Why don't they call it a "WITCH HUNT"? I guess Trump has robbed that phrase of meaning.

The whole "forensic audit" reminds me of witch hunters who would examine the body of an accused witch looking for a "witch's tit" that she would use to suckle Satan. Anything like a mole, wart, freckle, or most particularly a supernumerary  nipple would do

.[Fark user image image 333x247]

The AZ auditors, rather than looking for moles, are instead concerned with things like bamboo fibers.

DarkDawg: The report will say 1 of three things:

1) No fraud, and will quitely be dropped

2) No fraud, but will say they found suspicous stuff so there is still fraud.

3) Vague nonsense that if you look at it prove no fraud but the rubes will see it saying there is fraud, thus contenuing the grift.

it will be 3

I dunno, but I do know that it will be the spinnyest spin that was ever spun, stretching every "fact" to the limits and omitting anything that does not point to "fraud". Frankly, once the ballots and machines were out of the election commission's  control, they were tainted and invalid.

What a waste of money.  It is still going to take weeks before the audit report is issued and by then Trump will have already been reinstalled as President.  So, what's the point?  And what if the audit shows Biden won.  Will Biden be reinstalled and Trump leave again?

"The voters wouldn't have approved this drastic measure..."

Voters didn't approve any of this mess.

Every member of the Arizona state Republican caucus was voted into the legislature with the exact same ballots that rejected Donald Trump.

The election results were certified on Dec 14th, 2020 by the voters' elected representatives in the Arizona legislature.

That's what "the voters" approved -- Joe Bidens' win.

Partly because of this thread, I started looking into something that would coherently describe what the Trumpanzees actually believe. I wanted to hear it from them if possible. Their best speakers, someone with the real vocabulary to say what they're after in all of this.

I followed that damn rabbit hole for about half an hour and all I can find is schizophrenic blatheration. It just gets worse and worse the further you go into it.

Parthenogenetic: Todorojo: Cyber Ninjas didn't find a goddamned thing and that's what they'll report.

Perhaps they were prevented from finding incontrovertible evidence of the rigging, but what they did find were many things that raise questions about what really happened. I believe it was Ronald Reagan who said "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence" and also "Trust, but verify".

I don't have a fancy degree in computers, but I have been using AOL and Microsoft Windows for over 30 years so I am pretty much an expert. What I've heard about that election sounds very suspicious to me because I understand how these things work. You kids just know how to post selfies to the Instagam and such as.

I mean, I could make a better fraudit for $50. Well, probably they'd insist on it being better funded, but it doesn't take a lot of money to write "There were unspecified irregularities" on a piece of paper. Which would do a better job at the sort of fraud the Cyber Ninjas are trying to do.

WithinReason: This "failed" audit has exposed the grave problems with our election system. If after 9 months the state of Arizona is still unsure if thier votes were genuine, then that cast doubts if any states votes numbers are correct.

The state of Arizona was sure of the vote tally by Nov 10.

They certified that vote on Dec 14th, 2020.

Nevertheless this is useful in perpetuating the solen election myth.

I'm amazed no one has noted this yet:

On Wednesday night, Logan ended months of silence about who was paying him when he said a whopping $5.7 million had been contributed by political groups run by prominent Trump supporters including Michael Flynn, Sidney Powell, Patrick Byrne and correspondents from One America News Network. The figure dwarfs the $150,000 to be paid by the Senate.

Seriously - if the gummint doesn't investigate the shiat out of this and start handing down charges on these people/entities, then they're f*cking complicit.

I think it translates to, "Boy howdy did we get caught on this one. Who knew that the press would actually watch us throw our thumb onto the scale. Time to throw these flunkies under the bus, and hope we can still get the rubes' cash for at least trying."

Everything Trump touches dies.

Wish he could've dismantled Sinema before the end as well.

She is, I suspect, more of an RNC project. I do think that she's trying to figure out when the best time to trade sides is going to be best, but with the investigations, it's going to be difficult to choose a Republican horse too soon, because it will just be too naked a leap, and eyes WILL focus on her portfolios, and spending, and campaign coffers. She's got some time still, but I think that her days as a Democrat are numbered at this point, but she's a savvy enough player that she'll maximize her value, and declaring too soon is just going to give the RNC a chance to back out and leave her in the dust.

A savvy player is hardly how I'd describe a former Green Party activist turned Manchin-impersonator. She's stupid. She has hired even dumber people to advise her because she's a narcissist. And she's never going to hold public office again after she loses her next primary.
