Heaven forbid if he legally smoked weed weeks before the Olympics started though. He'd be thrown right out.

In the end, Hadzic, an alternate on the men's epee team, did not compete in the Games.

Oh, so he was only there as moral support.

It's inconsistent that SafeSport let this alternate actually travel to the Games while forcing Keith Sanderson to stay home. But Sanderson did run his mouth, in direct contravention of the stay of his suspension.

I substituted my epee with a sharp edged rapier. Let's see if Hedzic notices.

Aside from helping to normalize the shaming of sexual assaulters as opposed to shrugging in indifferent acceptance, this maneuver oughta get them some points with the babes in the Olympic village.

And fark you and the 4 people making your due process denier bullshiat "smart".

We are supposed to take the accusations seriously while also respecting the accused's presumption of innocence. NOT either or! Not a single person here has seen or reviewed any of the evidence presented or lack thereof and slandering anyone willing to wait for due process to play out as "rape apologists" is asinine at best and virtue signaling at worst.

That would be a good position if the entire internal and criminal justice systems weren't broken and have actively protected abusers, rapists and paedophiles.

The entire American sports establishment is worse than the Catholic church.

I'm gonna defer to the teammates probably knowing which is more likely. Also, his due process isn't being denied by them saying "we don't want to be mistake as condoning this asshole's (reported) actions."

And, as teammates...I'm gonna guess while they might not have been there and/or seen it, they know the guy well enough to know whether it's likely or not. Even just people I've worked with in the past and never hung out with...you just know a lot of creeps are creeps. Might not be criminal creeps, but you don't want to be associated with them anyway.

and yet none of that matters when it comes to the job. What if this guy is found to be innocent. "sorry dude we just huge you out on the world stage, our bad" doesn't cut it.  I work with a woman who has been charged with murder of her ex-bf, she claims self-defense (happed before we were working together) the longer I work with her the more doubt I have that it was self-defense and more that she is just a spiteful psycho and yet I don't run to the prosecutor with my opinion or wear a shirt saying "she did it".  this should be left up to the legal system to determine and if they wish to speak to me, then I give my thoughts on the matters. feelings and opinions are not proof, nor is "he/she seems like the type"   Cosby got away with for so long (if guilty) for the exact opposite reason, He didn't seem like the type.

Reading Comprehension Lesson #1

The point was calling anyone a "rape apologist" for simply waiting to hear the evidence is a dick move that does nothing to help the issue, and actively makes things worse.

So taking the word of strangers to pass judgement on another stranger based on the actions of a few other strangers without knowing anything about the issue other than "he was accused".

Congrats, you're part of the problem.

Yep, we all know that the justice system is perfect and we can't do anything but agree with the results of what prosecutors choose to do.
