I didn't know you could smell BS through the Internet.  Musk HATES being the CEO of a public company and having to answer to a bunch of clueless Wall Street "analysts".

I'd argue that his best decision is having Gwynne Shotwell essentially run SpaceX from the business side.

He should have someone like her running Tesla as well.

I am begging Apple fans and Tesla fans not to come to any kind of alliance where we have to see you post.

And of course his Weeners was to call the book 'boring', and his second to mock Apple for turning him down.

There might be some truth behind this story, but that account of the conversation looks like a heap of dramatic license -- the way they'll depict it in the Musk biopic someday.

We coulda had solar assisted iPhones that charge in a minute at supercharger stations. And go from 0 to 6G in 3.2 seconds.

Sigh

Apple doesn't really answer to analysts anyway. Member when that wackjob, right-wing investor group demanded Tim Cook focus less on accessibility?

Apple would be attractive to Musk because it has a large pile of cash, a talented workforce, positive brand recognition and the ability to generally do what they want.

I love how upset people get about Elon Musk stories. The comments on Jalopnik wishing the story was true are so strange.

These are reasonable people with valid criticism, you guys.

There's a lot of overlap between the anti-Elon and the anti-Apple people -- like being upset when anybody else is as obnoxious as they are.

Musk would be interested in the largest company in the world. You don't say.

Now that the latest Tesla vehicles feature an infotainment system that supports AAA gaming titles I'm actually starting to want one. What's not to like about an arcade on wheels?
