He could try to sue the derposphere for spreading vaccine hesitancy and misinformation, but he won't have a leg to stand on.

Who names their kid after a mythological youth who spent life in perpetual sleep? Covidiots I guess...

Could it be karma?

Bryan Thompson, 43, is married to Audrey. He has a 6-year-old son named Endymion.

Was his kid born in a coma or something?

Going to go out on a limb here and suggest he's a lolbertarian who got the name from Dan Simmons' character Raul Endymion who spent a couple of books trying to bang a pre-teen.

/It's burdensome government regulations that forced him to put a booster seat in his spaceship.

These stories don't help.  I know a few "vaccine hoax" people. They say covid is no worse than the flu, only old people and people with conditions die. "What about that 30 year old that died from covid?" 'He must have had a condition.' "How about that 23 year old that they said he had no other health problems?" 'Must have had underlying conditions no one knew about.  He wouldn't have died if he was healthy.'

You show them articles about an anti vaxxer who says how he got sick, is all farked up, and begs people to not be stupid anymore, but they just go "He's just an actor pushing the liberal bullshiat to sell vaccines." You show them another article and it's the same thing. They'll listen to a YouTube chiropractor that has lost his license and had a horrible reputation as a doctor, tell you how China make the virus to kill a massive number of people so they can buy cheap land from the dead people, the CDC knew about how it wasn't deadly and are just in a scam with big pharma to sell vaccines. But there is a supplement to protect you from the hoax, and you can learn all about it in this book he's selling.

But you find 20 different account of people who say "I thought this was bullshiat too, until I caught it! This shiat ain't no joke, I lost a goddamn lung!", and it's all made up.

They only way they'll be convinced is when it happens to them, or someone they know.  And often even if it's someone they know, they still don't believe it. "Aunt Mable is in the ER. Doc says she got the covid. That she'll likely die soon, gasping to breathe. Just more BS, you know.  Those hospitals just write everything up as covid, because they government pays them $35,000 for every one they report. It'd probably because she smoked that weed sometimes.  It would be just like Mable to blame it on covid anyway. Ever since a she found out her daughter was a gay, she's been getting more and more liberaly.  Probably hates Trump now, and saying she's got covid and not dying from the weed, because Soros paid her."

Hell some don't even believe it when they do get covid. "Yeah, I got a double lung transplant, but I ain't injecting no untested vaccine, I care about my health. "

So good luck with those stories.

MythDragon: So good luck with those stories.

For all the truth of that, even some idiots/delusional people do have thresholds.  Ones they don't even consciously know about - and maybe that one more story tips them over.  I'm not too fussed about people that stupid dying - but they're spreading it others that got vaccinated and just are unlucky with an exposure, or the immune-compromised.  They also got kids and others around that didn't dig their own grave, and are stuck with parents/caregivers that aren't gonna get them get vaccinated.  If each story even is the one that finally scares *1* more asshole into letting themselves and their family get vaccinated... 400% worth it - cause that's a ton less innocent bastards they'll infect by spreading it - including those kids/randos etc.

/one person less means anywhere from 2 and a bit to 6ish people they don't infect
//and the people they would have infected are not infecting others, and so on and so on and...
///even getting one singular person out of the disease spreading/variant factory game is a huge help, much less families etc

They simultaneously believe it's a big fat nothingburger more harmless than the sniffles, AND China actively trying to murder as many Americans through an engineered plague as they possibly can -- yet see zero reason to slightly inconvenience themselves to protect themselves against the latter.

You already are, since the vaccines are being paid from our collective taxes, to protect the greater good.
It's almost as if people in civilized countries look after one another.

/Just tell the trumpers that they should head to the nearest vax site right now and DEMAND to receive THEIR vaccine shots that twas paid for by THEIR TAXES, so they can ensure that the gubmint won't be squandering it and giving it away for free to some lazy illegal immigrant welfare leech instead.

Not to sound like an anti-vaxxer, but this is more of an anecdote. Blood clots are a symptom which can result from Covid-19, but also from the vaccine to Covid-19, and I'm not aware of a body of studies which ascertains which is more likely to cause someone to develop such blood clots---being unvaccinated (and running risk of severe Covid), or being vaccinated. That said, it's still clearly vastly preferable for everyone to be vaccinated, since having your leg amputated is a rare symptom of Covid, while dying of a painful disease is a much more common one.

2021-07-30 2:35:08 AM
doesn't bootstrappy "i felt the vaccine was rushed" have any money in his bootstrap account? oh no of course he doesn't because he's a trumpy republican.

2021-07-30 3:00:48 AM
The reasoning I read from people just reinforces how dumb they are. I don't want the vaccine because it was rushed? Yeah it was a rush job. There's a reason, people are getting very sick from this virus. Some people are being killed by it. You're goddamn right we want to rush these vaccines out. Now he, and others like him, know why it was rushed.

The funny and ironic part of this is that he's still going to be vaccinated since the virus won't be gone for awhile, and he's missing part of his leg. If it turns out there are no side effects from the vaccine then he lost a limb for nothing. If there are side effects then he still suffers them and lost a limb for nothing.
