I am sick and tired of abiding by the rules that the establishment ignore or constantly break. The new Alice in Wonderland world we live in needs resetting before it's too late.
I hope my actions highlight that in Parliament, we get in more trouble for calling out lies than people do for telling lies. This archaic system serves only to protect privilege and don't they know it
.

You're an MP. You are part of the establishment, the privileged. These rules protect you from being called a liar by other MPs. If Boris lied then call him out, say what he said and what the truth is and let Parliament, and the public, decide.

I mean i probably destroyed any chance of a promotion when i said the CEO was a liar and then pissed on the ashes when i said the only reason she wants us back in the office as concern is rising around the Delta variant even among vaccinated people is to soothe her precious ego. And I'd do it again. Keep speaking truth to power and fark the rest of them.

Parliamentary rules are very clear on calling honourable members lying. You have to be witty and funny and call them all sorts of horrible things by implication or equivocaion, but you can't call them liars.

Unfortunately, the temptation is just too strong.

Example:  The Honourable Member is a liar.
Correction: The Honourable Member is a penis fart.

"...and I would do it again"

That's good 'cause you know BoJo ain't gonna stop lying any time soon...

Not an upper class twit, merely upper working class or lower middle class twit. Well, I suppose he could be gentry at the limit, with manure on his very expensive knee-high boots.

He's a walking lie, from his messed up hair to his dopey gait. He's playing the fool to curry favor with the real fools. The biggest problem with it is that he's done it so well and so long even he doesn't know where the upper class twit ends and the fool begins.

I don't know why his head isn't on a pike on London Bridge yet. All the COVID deaths caused by his tomfoolery is enough reason.

It's Time to roll out one of Dennis Skinner's greatest hits (from 2014):

Dennis Skinner: "Half the Tories opposite are crooks."
Speaker: "Please retract":
Skinner: "OK, half the Tories opposite aren't crooks."

I don't think it's original - it's a well worn formula dating back to the late Nineteenth Century I think and has been employed on both sides of The Atlantic. Dennis Skinner's formulation is probably the most delicious - I bet it's on YouTube if you wish to admire his delivery some more.

I fear the honorable member sees the world in a mutually exclusive manner as that with a majority of others.  I fear for the honorable member's fortitude.

A black woman telling BoJo what he is is considered un-parliamentary behaviour in 2021.

A posh white man's babbling about the yellow peril isn't.

Good to know the priorities of Brexitstani authorities.

The rule about "unparliamentary language" comes from a time and place where gentlemen dueled over insults.

There is something very simple she could have done to avoid getting ejected, if that was in fact her goal.

"You are a lair" is a judgment of person and character (that it's accurate for Boris is irrelevant). It's an attack on the person.

"You have lied" is a recounting of events. You don't even need to be specific about the events. It focuses on specific actions and behaviors and not moral character.

It's helpful to apply this to your personal relationships.

You're not wrong vis a vis personal relationships, but its a silly farking rule for a governing legislative body.

It's a publicity stunt.  She was undoubtedly schooled by her party 'whips' before she ever got to sit her silly ass on the opposition benches, - OF WHAT WAS AND WHAT WAS NOT 'PARLIAMENTARY LANGUAGE'.   So did Alan Campbell give her the 'Being an MP for Dummies' book - or didn't he?  We have a thing called 'Erskine-May' that teaches speakers and similar officials how it is supposed to work.  Or was she one of the no-hopers given a safe seat with no experience, like the ridiculous 'Claudia Webb'?

I would never call the Prime Minister a lying coont, but I do note that every time he opens his lips, a scent of rancid tuna permeates the chamber.
