Monty_Zoncolan: Ooofah! Geraint having a bad patch.

Strange that he's wearing a Lazer helmet since his trade team, Ineos, uses Kask. I thought that their pro contracts extended to the Olympics.

LeClerc since Hamilton spun Max out on the first lap.

Hey, Fernando Alonso is an avid cyclist. Also, I ran into Jenson Button while riding near Nice France. A lot of motor racers train on a bike.

I think that is what irks me about Ham's pit scooter

I'm still impressed he finished the tour in support of his other guy after the separated shoulder. And then still came to the Olympics.

eddie_irvine: ChopperCharles: You said a road race. I was expecting cars or motorcycles, Not spandex and children's' toys. Maybe they'll be some epic crashes. Otherwise, all the entertainment value of watching paint dry.

So, do you consider American football, baseball, basketball, etc... sports with children's toys? If not, explain your redneck opinion.

I'll answer but I'm far from redneck status. Football and Basketball have time limits. It's down to the clock. Baseball needs more time limits and enforce them with penalties. As far a soccer goes... the field needs to be smaller with walls that you can bounce the ball off. Tell me I'm wrong.

No, I think Team GB has specific sponsors too, so riders might change helmets and kit but also bikes... I think that's part of the deal.

It's IndyCar, but earlier this year, Romain Grosjean posted a video on YouTube showing his sweet Colnago. A lot of F1, Indy, NASCAR, Moto GP, Supercross racers are huge into cycling. Anyone like redneck ChopperCharles above who disses cycling but likes motor sports, is a moron who doesn't understand the benefit that cycling lends to motorsports.

Juraj Sagan trying hard to justify his new contract with TotalEnergies I suppose. I heard Peter leaving Bora will be taking around 29 people with him to TE.

All sports are children's toys. Even war. To get paid for it there needs to be money and a time limit.

Absolutely but... I would call Poker a financial derivative...

*as I mentioned, time is infinite... as are the fortunes of those who lose Poker hands.... maybe not this guy or that guy but someone is ALWAYS losing at Poker, every second, every day.

So since cycling doesn't have a time limit then they don't get paid? Not sure I follow the logic. I was simply pointing out to the troll that a lot sports use children's toys since he diminished cycling by saying that it uses children's 'toys'. Personally, I wouldn't consider a $16,000 technological wonder a children's toy but ymmv.

Let me say that again with bolding...

Who cares that you can ride a bicycle. Most 6 year olds can do that. Your point?

I wonder what the contents are of the 'neutral' feed bags that just have the olympic rings on them?  Suppose they contain some Japanese favourites?

No, I agree... this is a guy who honks for no reason at 5:30am as he passes with you in the bike lane and him in his truck.... sometimes they have one of those train sounding airhorns... I consider it active shooter training.
