There's a better way to get methane...

Given everything in the Global Warming front... maybe not the best idea?  Or maybe the best...

Methane is a worse green house gas that CO2 - but burning methane releases CO2 and H2O

Both of which are greenhouse gases.

I wonder which is better.  F - BURN IT ALL

At least we get more water that way, since we are in such short supply...  maybe further dilute the oceans till the freezing point rises enough to make things... Festive.

So you have to take your motorcycle for a walk by roadside bogs and ponds? Sounds like a real time saver.

So I designed some cogen systems to use landfill gas, which would be similar to swamp gas I suppose.

One issue is the amount of non-combustibles.  You need so much extra gas for the same amount of BTU's.  Also it runs really dirty.

No, they're POWERED by swamp gas.  This explains all the visitations....and possibly Gigorio's hair.

If you put a blanket over the top of the methane you'll capture it better.

If only we could power transportation using swamp ass.  Farkers could save the world, man.

So the guy who killed Natalee Holloway's name translates to Joran In The Ditch.  Interesting.

It's obviously better to burn methane than to release it directly. As stated, methane is a stronger greenhouse gas and it's a 1:1 conversion into CO2 molecules when you burn it. The water vapor is insignificant. It only persists in the atmosphere until the next rain storm.

I was paraphrasing, but you are absolutely correct.

Reminds me of this which I thought was super cool, but also economically viable:
https://www.homebiogas.com/

Basically it's a composter that collects the methane in a huge bag which you can then hook up to a specially jetted cooker. With the remaining waste being a liquid output that can be used for fertiliser.

You can also get a toilet from them which hooks up to it, but then can't use the liquid as fertiliser.

If I ever went off-grid, a couple of those would be my first stop (one for toilet, the other for non-toilet) along with solar panels and a bore, alas I live in the city.

You don't want it powering your WAP though.
