wait, so he was like only 45 when Lethal Weapon 2 came out?

So he really wasn't too old for this shiat considering he was only 41 years old while playing a 50 year old in Lethal Weapon.

Funny thing is Damon Wayans was older in the pilot of Lethal Weapon series than Danny Glover was in Lethal Weapon 1. Yet Damon looked 10 years younger.

Thou shalt not judge a book by its cover
Thou shalt not judge Lethal Weapon by Danny Glover

/admittedly the dude that wrote that said it was a stupid line

We were looking for something to watch last night and came across the series. I had originally had no interest in it, but I figured that Damon Wayans could channel just the right amount of Danny Glover, and I wasn't wrong. Same with the other actor, I didn't know what to expect, but he played a good Riggs, not quite as manic as Mel Gibson, but good enough. I liked it. God, I hope the rest of the series is worth watching. :-)

The movie wasn't the best, but he was a great Lando.

TIL that 43 is too old for this shiat, having already known that 49 is old enough to be a geezer in Cocoon.

Lethal Weapon is a better Christmas movie than Die Hard.

You're confused. You're talking about his son.

The third one was a pile of stank ass.

The fourth was okay and introduced Jet Li to the general American public.

The entire ensemble of The Royal Tennenbaums was amazing. Danny Glover was part of that.

Yeah, I have a high tolerance for suspension of disbelief but Riggs and Murtaugh fighting JetLi and weren't shown their own livers after three seconds, I just didn't buy.

Director Richard Donner died a few days ago, and so they announced that the film was off.

To be clear, it actually WAS in the works.... Goonies 2, as well... but without Donner, it kinda invalidated the effort.

Really? I'm equally shocked that Richard Donner died and there was a Lethal Weapon 5 in the works.

i found it enjoyable. Not amazing, but for a series based on a movie series it was really good.

He was 90 something, but as of like a month ago, it was full-on happening with him at the helm.
He was around forever.... He did a lot of the classic Twilight Zone episodes.... such as Terror at 20000 feet with WIlliam Shatner.

Really enjoyed Mr Pig with Glover and Maya Rudolph. Interesting plot as Glover is very active with animal rights. Pretty sure he's either vegan or close.

No, no, that was his nephew that played Lando.  His son is Childish Gambino.

Despite not being much of an action star, Danny was in Predator 2 and that didn't turn out too bad.

He also played a character who was supposed to be middle aged in Silverado and that was years before Lethal Weapon.

Silverado - 1985
Lethal Weapon - 1987

Not exactly a lifetime apart.

And I don't remember anything that said he was middle aged. His dad was still alive (at the beginning).

I keep confusing Danny Glover and Donald Glover, even though they are nothing like.

Are they even related?
