Well, he just screams "Brussels is takin' yer sassy-jizz!" and the majority of English scream about the injustice of the The Colonies denying Blighty its fair due, so he's not actually wrong.

"No way will Boris become Mayor of London!"
"No way will Boris be re elected as Mayor of London!"
"No way will Boris be elected as an MP!"
"No way will Boris win the Brexit referendum!"

This deal allows the UK to quit. That is in the deal. The EU agreed to that. Are you suggesting the EU refuse to honour a deal they agreed to by telling the UK it can't pull out?

And remember, it was the EU who announced they were going to impose border controls six months ago, violating the deal they agreed to.

First of all, the president of the EU Commission has 7 kids. Jeeez that woman is an over-achiever.

Second of all, this reply tweet is confusing. What was wrong with the Protocol? I thought it was working as intended.

We get it. You're embarrassed that you chose to be on the wrong side of history, so you're doubling down on the pro-Brexit nonsense. It's okay to admit it.

Just learn from your mistakes and try to be better in the future.

If they pull out, a hard border will be needed between the EU (Ireland) and the UK (Northern Ireland).

A hard border violates the Good Friday Agreement.

If the Good Friday Agreement is violated, The Troubles restart.

Not even Boris the Lesser wants that.

"If you don't give me what I want I'm going to shoot myself in the other foot too!" is not the threat you think it is.

Everything about Brexit has been a shiat show to date, and resulted in economic damage that will take us years to recover from.  Threatening to make that situation worse because Johnson is an ignorant knob is not going to encourage the EU to come to the table.

The Peter Principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "maximum level of incompetence": employees are promoted based on their success in previous jobs until they reach a level at which they are no longer competent, as skills in one job do not necessarily translate to another.

Negotiating from a position of weakness is often the only way to go through international politics and trade - most countries cannot be the best at even one thing.  But it requires realizing you are going to have to provide something above what is strictly fair, and have to eat some crow while doing it.  Screaming invective at everyone in the room and throwing your own turds into the ceiling fan, though, isn't generally a good strategy.

At this point it looks like nothing so much as a hostage situation, but instead of a bank robber wagering the police negotiator will deliver that helicopter and suitcase full of unmarked bills rather than let him kill the poor bank teller he's using as a human shield, it's the UK wagering the EU won't countenance a return of the Troubles rather than refuse to stand by while they crowbar open a hole in the Single Market via Northern Ireland.
