You know, I clearly remember Monica Lewinsky hosting a dating show with a near-identical premise. It was like The Bachelorette except the men wore awful, lumpy masks/hats on their heads.

Maybe because she's a normal, healthy adult, and, as such, unacquainted with the term.

I can understand the animals in the preview for that video but what's with Skeletor?

That's quite an accomplishment there.

are you suggesting she plucked it from her vocabulary?
shaved it right off her thoughtbox?

Sexy Beast trifecta is in play!

// never thought I'd ever have a reason to type that sentence, but then again, this is Fark!

Glad to see I wasn't the only person who saw that movie.

came for this (without reading a single article, because I know when someone is trying to drum up internet "groundswell"), and leaving with a warm-fuzzy.

we're one step closer to a world where I can pitch "Cheers, but it's the Star Wars Cantina" as a series to Disney+ and get taken seriously.

Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina?

The ask in the beginning, "Can you fall in love on personality alone?"

Absolutely. I met my wife on an online game back in the 90s. We just texted through the MUD's chat feature for months before we even talked on the phone or exchanged photos.

Our 23rd anniversary is in September. We've been together over 25 years.

Maybe but not really if Tales from the Crypt was the style you're suggesting. I am talking catfish-faced alien Cliff Clavin regaling the cantina with his trivia knowledge of single climate planets and suggesting better war strategies in the famous battles between the Empire and the Rebels.

When step-porn jokes are mainstream, it's a bit of a stretch.

Oh look, models that want to be actors are on a dating show. So original and believable.

Much like tiger king, I'm waiting for the pitch meeting. That will give me all the info I need.

A friend showed me the trailer for the show and I thought it looked interesting, basically actors doing improv as whatever animal they were dressed as, going on a date. Sounded like a good premise for some fun and maybe a gateway into a strange and fantastical world.

Then my friend explained that, no, it wasn't actors. It was "real people" put into facial obscuring makeup to see if they can still hit it off on a blind date. All interest immediately lost.

I hold out a little hope that the former could come to pass, though.

No joke. I'm sure I"ll get dogpiled for this but I like the furry look about the same as I do the drag queen look. Something just off about a caricature of a woman or an animal. I think it's the uncanny valley thing. To hear either side calling the other weird is just hilarious as a third party with no dog in the drag race.

I'm pretty sure if you just gave a one-word review of "furry" everyone would be on the same page.
