Question for the ages - if they bang in S2, is that masturbation, incest, or just normal intercourse?

2021-07-22 7:54:07 AM
It is just confirmation of his absolute narcissism. After all, the ONLY one that's good enough for him, is another version of him. As a her. Or transforming into a mare. Loki is already sooper gender fluid, though to be fair, the MCU has sort of danced around that with his transformations always being male. Blame the previous writers for that.

They're mad because Loki did what they've been doing, self-pleasure, but this involved tongue and boobies, and they're jealous.

If I recall correctly in the stories he didn't particularly enjoy being a mare or whatever.

More of a "fark it, if it needs to be done, it needs to be done" situation. If he wasn't full out forced into it.

I would think the people who obsess over Loki to this degree would be very familiar with the concept of self-love.

Incest, clones are genetically twins.

Probably...

I seem to be the only person who just didn't like this show, and I wanted to.

My bigger issue isn't even that they've completely changed the character (or that they basically Anakin'd him) but watching the show I felt no attachment BECAUSE it was a 'Loki' show.

I expected every conversation, every scene to be a lie, to end with a double-cross, or a 'gotcha' (and many did) so I didn't really put any weight into what ANYONE was saying.  I expected and/or assumed I was being lied to so I never thought "Wow!  This is big!"

And they Star Trek: Next Gen'd every scene with techno-babble but instead used 'multiverse' and 'time travel' words, so I didn't understand what they were talking about because they were just making things up!

I didn't hate it.  But I just kept thinking "why is this Loki?"
It could have literally been ANYONE (Star Lord, MJ, the security guard that Luis knocks out)

Oh I don't know. This worked for me because I DID wonder where Loki went after he grabbed the Tesseract in Endgame. I wondered how will that mess up time. And now I see how it will all play well into the multiverse of madness. It's not the most brilliant thing on TV but it's a pretty good MCU side show to build on.

He turned into a mare to distract the horse that was being used to build Asgard's walls. Didn't mean he had to have sex with it, that was all on him.

Loki is a role in the multiverse, not a specific bit of genetic code.  Any dwarf frost giant raised by Odin works, so there doesn't need to be any close genetic relationship between variants.

Whether Loki/Silvie counts as incest or not would be worth a genetic analysis, but ultimately it would likely be a psychological argument, not a biological one.

Or, in practical terms, it's whatever the writers want it to be.

ORRRRRR maybe he has to be able to see himself from the outside to know he's both the one responsible for all his fark-ups *and* that he's deserving and capable of loving another.

I was disappointed by the ending, but mostly because they pulled in a new character in the final act.  I feel like that's some lame-ass Miss Marple shiat.

Although if you go back to the first episode and listen to the Mobius/Loki interrogation bit about freedom, they telegraph the entire final confrontation.

Not to spoil anything but Johnathan Majors is signed to appear in the next Ant-Man movie. So at least a version of that character will be returning.

You're disappointed because you think there are 'endings' in the MCU.  It's all one tale, and it won't end until after us Farkers are dead, most likely.

I think he's signed to more than that, if he's supposed to be playing who he's supposed to be playing - I agree they could have at least hinted to who he will become earlier in the Loki run, but it it does set up the next phase nicely

Each Loki had different parents. Therefore they're in no way related.

And nobody had a problem with this on Doctor Who when Amy Pond was practically making out with her future self, nor did anyone complain when Austin Powers had a threesome with his future self.

There can be vast differences in how skillfully its done and how pleasing the result.

When the writers are covering their deficiencies with a random word generator, that's what we mean by 'just making it up'.  No consistency, no setup, no follow through.

Yes, that is why Star Trek is such a hit.  Those writers *never* use a random word generator to deus ex their way out of whatever corner they painted themselves into.   It is all completely consistent.

No, I'm not articulating myself well.  I know it's all made up, but when you make up technobabble to deus ex machina a situation ("Bounce the graviton particle beam off the main deflector dish") it removes the drama, for me anyway.
You can get out of ANY situation by making up fake way out of it!

So in the end of Loki, to say "Well, this will happen, because of this, but maybe not, who know ((shrug))" it sort of takes the excitement/drama out for me,

Reminded of me Star Trek Insurrection when they said "Why don't they move the people to another planet?"
And the guy said "I don't know, something about the concentration of the rings or something, don't ask me to explain it!"

That's not at all what happened in the Loki finale.  Kang 100% straight-up told them and us what would happen if they chose to kill him or to let him live: 'Kill me = Multiversal war, let me live = you guys can take over running the one timeline for me.'

Kang shrugged because he knows he can't lose; it'll just take him longer to win.

Why is there this assumption that the Loki variants are genetically the same? There is an alligator that is a Loki, for cryin' out loud! It's a safe bet that the alligator is not genetically the same as our Loki.

It's very obvious that the Loki variants are not all genetically the same. In fact, there's no evidence that they have any genetic similarity at all.
