Hey, do any any Alaskans know, did Tom obermeyer ever pass the AK bar exam? Maybe he's available to fill in.

Do any of these things exist in Alaska?

Deznats are an *interesting* group.  Mormon white nationalists who, as all small groups who glom onto nationalist movements do, fail to realize they are barely considered Christian by the rest of the movement.  And would therefore be in the camps just after the last atheists.  But they'd be in them before the Catholics!

He does realize that Alaskans tend to be....armed, right?

I mean, if there were any members of leftwing groups that I'd most expect to be armed and ready for a bugout/SHTF/shoot-n-scoot, it'd be members living in Alaska.

So, go ahead and try it, I'll send them instructions on making energetic bits of fun out of pontoon boat cleaner just to even it up a little bit.

But I was assured by refarklicans in 2016 they deeply cared about free speech and it was those evil college kids trying to take it away

That article takes a very "golly gee whiz, maybe they're just joking" tone to a group of people who sound an awful lot like Nazis.  Nazis because:

1.  They advocate the superiority of a specific ethnic and religious group
2.  Argue for the subjugation of those outside of that group
3.  Believe that the role of women is subservient to that of the society in a way that men are not (re:  their purpose is only to be a mom)

That's most fascist movements in a nutshell.  The strange hands off tone they take along with a series of these golly gee whiz articles reminds me of how MAGA was approached by the rest of the media in 2016:

These people are just Nazis.  It's quite clear.  You can't just joke about brutalizing specific groups who have had a history of brutalization.  It's not a joke to them.  Salt Lake City sounds like a very naive city.

In the republican mind, Black people demanding to not be executed by the police is worse than White people attacking Congress.

It's more like the Mormon church once again playing footsie with its most extreme elements.  They have a long history of not taking firm stands against their more extreme offshoots.

You know Mormons have giant underground layers, robot armies, space lasers and so on?  Those polite guys coming to your house to spread the Word - they're also collecting intelligence.  When they time comes, they will be ready.

NathanAllen: In the republican mind, Black people demanding to not be executed by the police is worse than White people attacking Congress.

It helps to understand that Republicans are convinced that their view is the natural order of things, as ordained by God. Police oppressing black people is the natural order of things, so when black people protest, they are going against nature. When white people attack Congress, it is because the government is in an unnatural position and they are attempting to restore order. The idea that things are the way they are because of coincidence or luck, and can be changed, is scary to the the reptilian brain.

This country used to enslave some people and genocide others.

We've stopped that.

Also now women can vote, also the people who we used to enslave and genocide.

An edge lord going on the Internet to suggest we go back is noise.

As MLK said, the moral arc of history is long but it bends toward justice.

We'll keep going.

I'm just going to take the views expressed by #DezNat as being mainstream Mormon views and greet the next Mormon missionary that comes on my property without permission to a view of two barrels at eye level.  I imagine they'll go peddle their white supremacist bullshiat in some other neighborhood immediately thereafter.

They go from "the gun murders in Chicago are all from leftists" to "leftists don't have no GUNZ" in one second. It's derping. It isn't about conveying information. It is used for derpers to locate, identify, reassure, and reaffirm bonds. When you hear "Hunter Biden laptop" or "critical race theory" that is a derper in search of other derpers in this scary world.

To be honest, I'm shocked silly why nobody seems to admit that Alaska Permanent Fund is pure socialism, and that Alaskans absolutely love it.  Not the Alaskans, not the "socialists", nobody.  You'd think that somebody might make the connection that maybe the US+other states shouldn't simply gift all our resources to corporations, but that's the American Way.

/ok, it is looking less and less permanent
//but that's the way of non-renewable resources
///and even renewable ones have effectively no growth

And it has a policy of withholding transcripts on the basis of apostasy. Seriously.

Took 400 years and where are we today?
How is the current system not a slavery system when health insurance is tied to a job? Stagnant wages?
PoC still killed for the color of their skin.
Police still act like Slave Chasers.
Politics/Justice System still tilted towards old white men. Hell, let's just talk about sentencing of white folk versus PoC!
How many Fortune 500 companies are owned by PoC?

I get it. Being a silver spoon kid makes it very difficult for you to relate to whatr the real issues are for life in the USA today.

Hell, go out and made a friend with a black person! Join the military and do SOMETHING for this Country versus just sucking off the teats. But I'll give you this post, I get the need to feel like an adult from time to time.

Beats acting like spoiled little white girl online!

Or are you talking about the current new voting laws being passed in red states?? Is what you love so much?
Or how Congress is unable to pass a Voting Rights Bill?
Unable to pass a basic infrastructure bill?

I'm sure you have a well educated non-snarky reply, right?

I saw Theresa obermeyer at Carrs a couple years before the height of her crazy saga. If they had the internet back then, it wouldn't have been called a Karen, it would have been called a Theresa.
