You know I would have thought that the Advent of the internet would have ended the market deciding things at least on the local level and yet in 2021 local markets still push out things that are available elsewhere

"The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said a tip led them to stop the vehicle on I-295 in Gardiner"

Anonymous, I'm sure.  The tip was a brown person was driving on I-295 on a day that ends with the letter y.  200 drivers were stopped and searched, one was found with drugs.  Take a picture, release it to the press and we all give ourselves awards.  yay!

The way it worked in my day was expendable people got sacrificed to the cops. This allowed the cops, who got a cut of the drug money, to brag about catching criminals so the public was satisfied. Meanwhile the real movers and shakers were free to operate with no worries. Everyone is happy. The public thinks the cops are doing good jobs and not corrupt, the cops get to make lots of extra money, and the drug dealers can ply their trade with only other drug dealers to worry about. Well, the people who get sacrificed aren't so happy but no one cares.

It's been ages since I've had one.
Honestly haven't checked to see if they sell them around here (not dieting, just prioritizing my calories) and the Mrs does almost all of the shopping.

/reminds me...I think I have a B&J's in the fridge...or maybe the kids got to it first...BRB
