US looked bad but there were a few donks off the post that would have changed things if they were an inch closer.

lol.  See, the NY Post has a rather sizable sports section as do most daily newspapers.  Should they not have covered what's a fairly notable sports story?  Every other paper in the country is covering it.

More like, "of all the possible news sources out there, why a crappy tabloid from New York "?

At least it's not as bad as the 10-3 ass-handing the Dutch inflicted on Zambia. That score doesn't even sound real.

Funny that no one has mentioned that only a few of the USWNT stood for the national anthem.

Looks more like a baseball or a football score.

Oops, maybe not during the anthem...

But, still, why?  I don't get it.

Not sure why, but it probably explains why no one (else) mentioned it

That one Zambian striker was legit, though. The rest of the team apparently hadn't had much time to train together what with COVID...

Why did they kneel or why has no one mentioned it?

It was expected that they would kneel, that's their thing.   When you then go out and get trampled by an inferior team, you open yourself to 'focus on the game not your bullshiat grandstanding.'    They absolutely did it to themselves.

The New York Post is a sh*t tabloid written by complete idiots and for complete idiots.  Very much of it is written by traitors to the US for traitors to the US.  That particular audience belongs in concentration camps who deserve no less than to be put down like a sick old dog.  And you're defending  the New York Post, soooooo....

Almost every single professional soccer game on this planet for the past year has done this.
- The official blows the whistle
- Both teams kneel in silence for about 10 seconds.  This is often accompanied by the TV commentators saying how racism has no place in sports or in our world.
- The official blows the whistle
- The game starts

I'm kind of surprised by the three goals allowed.

Why it's it such a concern for you, assuming you're not being disingenuous? Who cares?

Dumb people: "Oh, equality is important to you? You'd better win every game or else your beliefs are why you lost."

/all of these people are better at (and more focused on) their jobs than anyone saying they should "focus on their jobs, not politics"

Yeah, usually if there's an ass-kicking of that variety, it's 10-0 or 10-1 at best. There's never, like, a 9-7 game.

The NYP is a rag, with the same owners and journalistic standards as The Sun. Clicking on this link is an admission that you think reporters should be able to watch you change through a telephoto lense from 1000 yards away if it might earn them money, or should be able to hack your phone after your death and check your voicemail, leading your family to believe you might still be alive. The Post has a long history of excoriating people in headlines regardless of whether they have it coming or not (Richard Jewell comes to mind), they regularly beat the drums of war (they called James Baker a surrender monkey in 2007 for recommending we reduce our combat footprint in Iraq), and they regularly fabricate stories in order to make money off of the far right lunatics in this nation (they are currently being boycotted by more than half of the bodegas in NYC due to racist reporting, and as recent as April of this year ran an entirely fabricated story on their front page, this one about VP Harris distributing copies of her book to migrant children at the border. The author of the article says she knew it was false and was ordered to write the piece, and she has resigned her position.)

The NYP is to journalism what a burlap sack filled to the brim with diarrhea is to journalism: a giant dripping bag of wet shiat.
