If it was trying to eat his cat, he may have averted (or perhaps only delayed) the nexus event that prunes our branched-off timeline.

/what, you thought the Cubs winning the World Series and Trump becoming President in the same year was normal?

Lions winning the Superbowl is the Nexus event that ends the MAIN timeline, and he who remains comes back and kills all Loki's that ever existed

After the episode that introduced that character, my son came to me and said, "Remember the other day you asked me who my favorite Avenger is?  I have a new answer.  Alligator Loki."

That made me laugh like an idiot!

What an odd law.  It's legal to have a dangerous reptile that's less than 8 feet long, but illegal to have one bigger than that?  OK, but alligators are dangerous and start under 8 feet long, but end up bigger than 8 feet long, and what is the pet owner going when that inevitably happens?  Probably release it into a river, where it will cause havoc, because it isn't afraid of humans, doesn't know how to feed itself, and is starving.  Law should state that it is illegal to have a dangerous reptile that COULD GROW over 8 feet long.

The law says they can keep the 8 ft+ gator, as long as they officially register it with local law enforcement.

Glad for another fan but a little envious you didn't have to go through the waiting period between movies, especially after Infinity War!

/If Endgame had been scheduled for 2020 and been delayed by Covid, there'd have been riots.

I actually watched a real crappy bootleg of endgame when it first came out, but it was so crappy I stopped paying attention about 5 minutes in. It was great for the roommates kid though. Looking back, I'm so happy I stopped paying attention and actually watched the stuff in order.

I had a pet gator when i was younger. My cousins found a dead momma gator while running traps and found the nest mound and got the babies out. The sheriffs office kept one as a mascot and my cousin gave me one. I had him for several years before i gave him back. He would let you turn him upside down and rub his belly, he would actually go to sleep like that.

Pat Nichols, an amateur herpetologist in Kansas City, kept a bunch of crocodilians in her home and backyard; caimans mostly, some were huge. She's was the first person to have caimans breed in captivity.

She lived on Euclid Avenue, was crazy as a bedbug, and basically ran an animal sanctuary in her home, consisting largely of neglected parrots who'd gone psycho and crocodilians that had gotten too big for the knuckleheads who bought them. I knew the person who sold her homeowner's policy, so I went along to visit. She also gave tours to school groups, too. You'd "pay" for your tour by showing up with a few pounds of meat. Butcher scraps were fine.

She never had any escapes, but she's probably the reason residents can no longer keep crocodilians within the city limits of Kansas City.

Keep Kansas City...uh...normal, I guess.

So - you can own anything as a pet if you register it with the local law enforcement. That's cool

You should never open a joke by insulting my kid.  dpoisn.com
Also, he's 22 and can probably kick your ass.

Anyway...
In essence, you are correct that Alligator Loki was never declared an Avenger.  In fact none of the Loki's were, except our protagonist.

But you have to consider 2 things:
1. All Lokis are the same being in different forms.
2. It's f'n science fiction, and we can say whatever the F we want.

article: 'According to Missouri State statute, having a pet alligator is actually legal and would only have to be registered if it is more than eight feet long.'

Sheesh.   MO should enact a gator-reveal law, where you have to tell your neighbours (not just the state) if your pet could eat their pets.

The one place where it's completely acceptable to keep an alligator who wears baby shirts at a pie shop and carry it around like a freaking puppy.

Hell, we enacted Proposition B by a huge margin to shut down the grotesque puppy mills that proliferate throughout the state.

However, the Missouri Farm Bureau (the ag lobby that owns most of the state's rural Republican legislators) didn't much care for Missouri's people making laws, so it ordered Mike Parson to lead the legislative repeal of that law.

For his good service to the ag lobby, Mike "Unregulated Puppy Mills" Parson is now the farking state's governor.

Hurray for democracy!
