I know one person who pre ordered new world and instead of checking out the beta or whatever we just keep playing Borderlands 2, Which will turn 10 next year btw

That was a mooving story. I wonder if all the quests and what not are tied to some sort of AI thingy that translate MMO play in to drone action in the warehouse. So when players are driving their characters to do tasks they actually are working in an Amazon warehouse remotely as a drone? Wouldn't that make for a freaky movie/tv show?

Actually, that's the premise of Reamde - that an MMO was used to crowdsource tasks too stupefying for a single person but too fiddly for a machine.
