Happy to have him as my congressman.....2 feet in the ring of reality.

So Gertz, Turd and Gym (etc.) aren't really the arseholes they portray on tv, it's just theater in their wallets.

Comforting.

It's all kayfabe. Theatre. Performance art.

The goal is to grift and win elections. Everything else is nonessential.

BOOOOOO! John Tenta was a sweet cuddly man who went above and beyond!

Wikipedia:Tenta returned under the ring name The Shark and joined the Dungeon of Doom faction. He believed this could be the beginning of a long term gimmick and even changed the tattoo on his arm of an LSU Tiger to that of a shark, a process that took 24 hours.

I think you must have misheard. There was definitely an implication that he is a duplicitous, disingenuous shiatbag who acts differently in casual interactions than the public persona he tries to project and that meeting him outside of that projection it might be possible to make that assumption, but he definitely did not declare him as nice.

Jayzus. That explains everything. No wonder they're all still gobbling Trump's knob, it's all just a big joke to them. A joke. January 6th must be hilarious to them.

I believe he premised that with 'If you just met him on the Santa Monica pier' which I take to mean Ted Cruz isn't immediately repulsive. Once you begin to get to know him is an entirely different story.

If I ran into these guys on the Santa Monica pier, I would struggle not to chuck their assess off of it.

In San Diego we have this local fail politician (he's lost 4 races in 12 years) on the radio doing conservative political commentary. And when Trumpism came through he instantly changed positions on any number of things from what he previously said. It was weird to listen to someone enthusiastically change sides of an issue with no acknowledgement that anything had even changed in his position, just the hope that his audience wouldn't remember.

I made a comment about this with regard to Ted Cruz the other day. By many accounts he's a very intelligent person, on Twitter he looks like a total moron. But it's just an act, everything these guys do is intentional. A lot of the crazy things they say are carefully thought-out, Workshoped, Etc.

It's so transparently obvious that they don't really believe all these things they say, they're playing to their base. Always.

It really shows the true nature of their character, none of these people have any of your convictions other than power and their narcissistic need to inflate their massive egos

Alternatively their dumbass personas are often why they end up as fodder for Fark headlines. You can only be so far divorced from reality and not come off like a complete moron.

Just remember, the GOP's main thing at the moment is to prove that Government doesn't work.

That want to diminish the trust that people had that public service is worthwhile and that Government programs can be effective in helping the middle class, workers and unemployed fulfil their aspirations for themselves and their children.

And they're doing this so that it creates political space for them to defund programs and then return the savings to the wealthy taxpayers.

So this is the advantage they have over the Dems - the Dems want to use the Govt to help people whereas the GOP merely needs to stop them. The Dems need to build a case for change with the voters, the GOP merely needs to muddy the message.

And acting like clowns is doing two things - it derails the message the Dems want to get out and it makes Govt look stupid.

The GOP's main agenda is to publicly hide the human capital that slave labor from farming and manufacturing does to the human mind 🧠 and body ⚰

If people witnessed first hand the abuse that manufacturing does to (mostly) immigrant and poorly educated.... there would be major world wide riots
