Apparently, nobody listened to him. As a matter of fact, I don't think Jindal even took his own advice.

"Well, to be fair, if we just had a Republican President, these idiots would believe anything out of his mouth, so really, if Biden would just switch parties we can this thing whipped in a week or two."

He could've encouraged his constituents to get vaccinated. Instead he chose to say this instead.

And he's a doctor.

Science has a liberal bias but conservatives own magic.

People have this whole pandemic thing backwards.  Republicanism is the pandemic.

Covid is the cure.

The vaccine is just there to make sure the right people die.

Science doesn't give a flying f*** about what the WH says.

Telling people to get vaccinated is not "partisan"

"Conservatives are literally, pathologically incapable of doing anything without spite.  As a seasoned politician with a long history of dealing with Republicans, President Biden should be aware of this fact.  If he wants us to take the vaccine, all he has to do is say he's against it.  His refusal to do this simple task is devastating Republican states."

2021-07-18 2:33:55 PM
Over 99% of all new COVID infections, hospitalizations and deaths are now among unvaccinated individuals.

There are a very small number of people who can't get the vaccine, but by and large the people who are getting sick and dying right now are there by their own hand.

If you choose to avoid the vaccine and you get sick and die, I'm no longer going to spend emotional labor on feeling sympathy for you.

At this point the virus is only killing the unvacanated.  Only down side is that it's not 100% fatal for anyone over the age of 18 who is unvacanated.  The gene pool can use a good cleaning.

Gubbo: When we pretend that Wallace is a real journalist because once a quarter he says something truthful, can we remember that he's full of shiat

I'm kind of surprised he's still around.  I think he was just there for Fox News' ad salespeople to tell skittish clients that they could ask for their ads to only be on the "real news" shows like Wallace's.  But in recent months, certainly since Biden took office, they seem to be really just jettisoning any "real news" they still have.

2021-07-18 2:36:50 PM
MAGAts are MAGAts because we said they were racist and cruel. They aren't taking the vaccine because we were mean to them.

For a party of personal responsibility who insist they love freedom, they sure get lead around by a couple words strangers say about them.

Dems : If you give a blowjob to the business end of a shotgun, there's a pretty good chance you may die.

Repubs: YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!

*BLAM*

Yeah. The warning labels are plastered everywhere, they've been read outloud, and repeatedly stated. All that's left is to keep stating it, bury the ill and let the idiots either die or develop the antibodies after infection.

You can be upset about it or get on with your life while it plays out.

Well, Bill.  Open yer fark face gob and tell them that the vaccine is okay to take.

Why are all of these GQP assholes such muppet looking motherfarkers? Seriously, who can look at that man and put faith in anything that comes out of the yawper?

2021-07-18 2:40:26 PM
Forcing the unvaccinated to be intubated is cruel and unusual. They should be permitted to die at home, with what little dignity they have left.

2021-07-18 2:40:35 PM
It's Bill Cassidy's fault first of all for failing to protect his state, and then the fault of his selfish and ignorant citizens who don't care for their neighbors or themselves.

That farking plague rat should die of covid on live television. Plague rat encourages his plague spreading minions to spread the plague as much as possible, then blames biden.

Cyclometh: There are a very small number of people who can't get the vaccine, but by and large the people who are getting sick and dying right now are there by their own hand.

The vaccine is not yet approved for people under the age of 12, that's a not-trivial segment of the population.

This is mitigated to some degree by the fatality rate of infection being an order of magnitude less for them than the general population when they do get it, but they still need to be considered in terms of herd immunity and keeping it out of other vulnerable populations and so on.

One of the things that the Biden administration hasbeen playing stupid games with is massaging the numbers with this, e.g. "50% of eligible people have been vaccinated", which is an extremely dangerous lie, since the virus doesn't really give a shiat whether you're underage or immunocompromised and that 70%-80% for herd immunity means 70-80% of the entire population with no caveats, taking the "ineligible" into consideration.

Like, I'm not going to say that Biden is just as bad as Trump in his virus response, this is the kind of farking things up that's done by people starting from a baseline of being an actual functioning society that doesn't deserve to get wiped out and then farking up from there.  But he is still kinda farking it up.

// All of this is somewhat tangential to TFA, since the point TFA is making that Cassidy is full of shiat and Wallace is a right-wing propagandist is entirely true.

2021-07-18 2:42:52 PM
And yet, when these assholes get infected the first thing they'll do is run to the local hospital and say 'help me, help me'. Funny how they don't trust science until science is the only thing that can save their fat asses.

Why is anyone surprised by this? Many people on the pol tab saw this coming weeks ago.

Creating a crisis then blaming the Democrats for failing to fix it has been the GOP/GQP playbook for decades.

The GQP is pouring enormous amounts of effort (via Facebook, Fox, and other disinformation arms) to dissuade Republicans from getting vaccinated. It was only a matter of time until the GQP pivoted to blaming Biden for the success of the GQP's own disinformation campaign.

2021-07-18 2:49:36 PM
Many states have reached high vaccination rates from simply having it be available, but in this Louisiana Grits-n-Gun-Emporioum, local retiree Eustice Remington thinks Democrats are using the vaccine to teach children Critical Race Theory in a decades long plot to exterminate whites and install an Afro-Communist dictator.

NewportBarGuy: Louisiana doesn't listen to what the Biden Administration says. Not a single word. So, uh... try again.

Ah, but it works.

It's part of the republican playbook.

"We refuse to listen to anything dems have to say."

"Therefore it is their fault for making it political."

"If they wouldn't say anything, then it's their fault for not trying hard enough."

There's no winning.  There's no meeting in the middle, and it is always the democrats fault.

The party of "personal responsibility" folks.  Someone else's fault, no matter what.

"I take no responsibility."

OH HOLY DAMN HIS REAL NAME IS PIYUSH AND HIS PARENTS ARE INDIAN PUNJABI IMMIGRANTS AND ANC__R B_BBY DON'T LISTEN TO HIM HE'S ONE UH THEM THAR LIBERALS! dkulprit: Someone else's fault, no matter what.

The scapegoat is fundamental to the conservative view.  They don't understand, they're afraid.  This is why they don't like change and want things they way they remember them being in the past.  They need a scapegoat and once they find one they get angry with it for making them afraid of things they don't understand.

Fear and ignorance feeding irrational anger.  That's all you really need to know about most of them.  There are also the grifters living off them parasitically, of course.  They can also be nasty and ignorant, but they are a little more aware of what's going on.
