What sort of monster would just destroy the most valuable commodity of 2020 like that?

Gordon Bennett: What sort of monster would just destroy the most valuable commodity of 2020 like that?

My most memorable moment of 2020 was early-pandemic getting some groceries and passing the bare TP shelves as some guy starts to rage in disbelief before indignantly snatching a package of party napkins and storming off.

I'm assuming someone who stocked up so much hoping to sell it and realized that there wasn't a real shortage, is now attempting to create one.

OH MY GOD...NOT THE TOILET PAPER!!!

If this was last year the perpetrator would have been taken out of the store and hung. Of course last year there would not have been s display of the precious commodity.

People are going to be hoarding those again in about three weeks.

Sounds like another toilet paper shortage due to fire. Better stock up!

Illinois toilet paper fires are the worst

Again? This happened in Waterloo Region, Ontario last year.

Someone set fire to the toilet paper aisle in one Wal-Mart, drove to another, did it again, and then drove to a third and did it again. The only reason the fourth Wal-Mart in the area went untouched was that it wasn't easily accessible from the expressway like the other three.

Just as toilet paper was coming back into stock after last year's shortage, too.

(Two people were ultimately arrested)

At least it wasn't used toilet paper.
