Not at my local Menards. They don't even spend money to fix the 30 yr old tile floor.

The least realistic thing about that clip is the existence of malls.

Meh.  I bring my phone with me everywhere.  It is trivial to log its mac address or bluetooth DID and know it's me.  If they want to use something that is less effective - yawn.

Question for anyone who knows about this stuff.

How would it affect the facial mapping algorithm if someone was to put a pair of "googly eyes" on their facemask?

Customers rarely know that this technology is in use, leaving them without the opportunity to say no...

That "opportunity" is the chance to shop somewhere else. It's their property, they aren't violating any laws. And like we've been told since 9/11>>If you've got nothing to hide, you shouldn't be worried.

Seriously though, you don't have "privacy" rights on someone else's property, except for in areas like restrooms.

The two largest security camera manufactures have facial recognition hardware built into the processor on the camera.  That is included on the $200 cameras.
