I do it to sandwiches too  - nacho cheese doritos or plain potato chips amp up the flavor of a boring sammich.

I used to make  peanut butter, Cap'n Crunch, and maple syrup sandwiches.

I'll make wraps out of frozen pizzas when I'm really hungry.  Some lunch meat, a little lettuce, some ranch dressing.  It's nice.

I tried doing it with delivery pizzas but I can never get them to deliver it without slicing it.

I can't eat ribs in public.  I have to gnaw daintily around the pleura, blood vessels and fat, eating only the meaty goodness and it's just too darned embarrassing.

It apparently took four people to write that article. The weird thing however is that's it's written as if only one of them is telling about their food habits.

Jake Havechek: I used to make  peanut butter, Cap'n Crunch, and maple syrup sandwiches.

I used to take Ben & Jerry's Wavy Gravy (bring it back!!), blend it with a heap of malted milk powder, Crunchberries (just the Crunchberries), and Butterfinger Milk (it was a totally real thing) for the most diabetestastic milkshakes ever.

Around the holidays I would take leftover mashed potatoes and make a sammich. Buttered bread, potatoes and heavy on the black pepper. The real potatoes, not the potato bud nonsense.

Haha, my wife's damned near there herself. She's very weird about getting a little messy while eating. Pork and beef ribs, juicy stone fruit, giant modern bar burgers, etc.

She'll still "sacrifice" and do it if the food is good enough, but she'll biatch about it the whole time.

Of course my motto is: get as messy as you need to--nothing a little soap and water won't fix. I also tend to work on good ribs until there's so little meat left, my dog would be insulted if I tossed her the bone.

Potato chips are basically a universal condiment to me.

Especially with any of the salad variety of sandwiches. (tuna, chicken salad, etc)

I just stay away from them.  Eating shouldn't be that much work.  Fried chicken is about all the labor I want to expend getting something in my gut.

As a kid, toasted, buttered rye bread and potato chip sandwich.  sometimes with lettuce and mayo.

On the fence over if I am going to try one again.

If only I wasn't deathly allergic to peanuts. You have no idea how my life changed in my mid50's when I discovered tasty almond butter.

None the less; microwaved almond butter poured over French vanilla ice cream is one of my more recent joys. Yes, my blood sugar will skyrocket.
The first thing I learned working in the cemetery at 13;  Everybody Dies of Sumptin.

Ideally, I'd like to get shot by a jealous husband while my dick's still wet and I have a head full of whisky/weed but we rarely get to direct our own exit scenes. I'll probably seize up with a heart attack on the Parkway on my to way to work and take out a venture capitalist and his mistress on their way back from Cape May.

On the whole, that isn't that bad a way to go.

Easy Cheese on Cheez-Its.

Cheez-Its Bigs and sharp cheddar spray cheese, specifically.

Potato chips in sandwiches is not weird.

My former boss dips peanut butter sandwiches in tomato soup. No thanks man, I'll pass on the soggy bread.

I don't think I have any really weird food habits. I grew up with family who had no taste buds, but somehow ended up in food service management and a pretty talented cook myself, if I may.

Okay maybe pickles on toast with butter, dipped in yellow mustard.

Survived college on a square of ramen and a can of beans in a bowl. I like all cereal soggy and all ice cream melted a little in the bowl. Sometimes I put ranch or barbecue on pizza regardless of toppings. I sometimes eat salad sans-dressing. I've eaten a live sunfish straight from a freshwater lake down my gullet. I used to put popcorn in orange juice and drink it. My wife calls me a human garbage disposal. My only kryptonite in the food world are eggplants and sweet potatoes.
