Every right-winger I know here in Texas has ignored the fact that Ted Cruz ran off during the storm.  And they believe the voting rights bill is just a strengthening of the ID requirement (as demonstrated by Cruz's blather on Fox News).  If you point out to *any* of them the other shiat this bill does, reduce/restrict polling, making things easier for right-wing poll watchers to intimidate, and so on, you'll get an, "Oh, I didn't know that!".  Which is right-wing speak for "I don't care and still support whatever they are doing."

And I shouldn't be so specific.  They don't always say, "Oh, I didn't know that."  Sometimes their response is to start biatching about everything Biden and Democrats are doing wrong.

Open response?  I haven't seen it but I don't doubt it.  The ones that are smart enough to articulate themselves with some kind of intelligence are remaining strangely silent on it or are making excuses.  I say "strangely" but it's fairly obvious they know this flies in the face of their "Freedom! America!" blustering and don't want to admit it.

It's scary as fark the people that go along with this.  After last year, I wonder where the line is for them and that's even more scary.

Was it a natural disaster? Or was it entirely man made? Or was it just exacerbated by mans ineptitude to focus on a short term profit at the expense of faceless poors?

He will pander to anyone, anytime, anywhere as long as it keeps in him power.

Calling him out on shiat like this does absolutely nothing except get him the attention he so desperately craves.

At which point I would say something like, "Excuses, excuses!  When will you people take responsibility for your actions?"

If he had gone back to DC I could give him some slack. Having connectivity and possibly pushing for help from FEMA and what not seems unlikely from him but at least it would be where he works.

But he went for Cancun.

People like Cruz don't give a shiat what we think.  If Trump taught the GOP anything, it's to never apologize or acknowledge you did something wrong, and also demand at the top of your lungs that your opponents apologize or acknowledge when they've done something perceived as being wrong, no matter how hypocritical that makes you look.  It doesn't matter if you name and shame them, or flood their social media accounts with memes, or call them out on national television, the most you'll get out of them is complaints about how mean and unfair you're being.

There is no line that won't be crossed. No bottom that won't be attempted. These people are happily murdering their own families to please a fat, senile reality-show host who openly loathes them. You think there's a line? There's no line. They'll be complaining about "victor's justice" and reminding us they were "only obeying orders" as the noose slips over their head.

I really feel sorry for the dog. Like most dogs, I'm sure he/she loves their family with a devotion most humans don't fully understand. Unfortunately for the dog, it doesn't realize at least one member of the family is a complete waste of carbon and actively makes the world a worse place. Not passively, just by existing, like a cancer or a weeping herpes sore, but is taking steps and exerting effort to do so. The dog deserves better.

Domestically. Internationally you still have to deal with customs and immigration upon landing.

I'm not really acrimonious about 'us' on Fark and agree the options are limited. I do get a bit bothered reading articles from websites and newspapers who run many Conservative is Mocked articles but never really do much in depth analysis or editorializing about why the mockery is deserved.
