I would think "party mode" would be left behind at college, part of the whole growing up thing.

That's an obscure Jon Bon Jovi song, Subby. I'll be damned if anyone else remembered that one besides me. Well done, Subby. Don't let the haters get you.

It doesn't work that way, champ.

Why would you post about a school shooting 3 years later while intoxicated?

How did the subject even come up?

"Yo, Jason. You 'member when those 10 kids were killed a few years back?"

"Like it was yesterday, my friend." *burp* "I also know something most people don't," Jason replies with a wink.

"What? You gotta tell me now! You can't leave me hanging, bro!"

"Fark you. I'll do what I want. I'm gonna get the story out via Facebook! You'll find out at the same time as everyone else!"

Absolutely any farking moron anywhere can get any job in the USA, from cop to mayor to POTUS.

Helps to be white though.

FTA: "Tabor said in a statement on Facebook that he was taking full responsibility for the post and that he would be seeking treatment for alcoholism."

Conspicuously absent is the fact that it wasn't the alcohol that made him say something abhorrent, and that all treatment will cure him of is saying his abhorrent thoughts aloud.

Puck fese theople.

Excellent headline, even though I originally thought it was a play on "You're the One That I Want" from Grease.

All republicans are the same.  All republicans cheer when children are murdered because they love stroking their guns more than America or their own children.

All republicans want more children murder because they are defunding the police and giving weapons to 3 year olds.

Oof. Both terrible movies that, as a kid, I watched a zillion and a half times each and still love with all my you-don't know-a-damn-thing-about-film snob heart.

The music from the sequel was the best western soundtrack since Dylan scored Sam Peckinpah's Pat Garrett & Billy the Kidin 1973*.

*To the asshole preparing to bang out a "nuh-uh!" knee-jerk response, McCabe and Mrs MIller came out in '71.

I was really confused about how Santa Fe could possibly have a republican mayor, and then realized there's a Santa Fe in Texas, and suddenly this whole story fell together for me.

I think it would be fair to say this man sounds like he is a poor leader.

1. Being too old for party mode. I still do that from time to time, but I also never sought an elected position, or a job that could effect more people than I could possibly meet.

2. He says he was drunk and in withdrawal from meds.... That isn't how you do that.

3. Positions of power require more responsibility than a position that you do for a paycheck, regardless of pay scale. You could be a master IT programmer making big bucks, but you don't have the responsibility of, say, a mayor.

There is no 'completing' 12 step programs.

If you're a public figure, I'm not saying you can't drunk tweet, but you really shouldn't.

/drunk posting on Fark still perfectly acceptable.

AA is a cult, it only works if you buy into it fully. He's just doing a program for people that want to say they're fixing themselves but really just want to look good in public while drinking on the sly.
