Farking rich. So now we've got handpicked Manchurian candidates?

I guess Thiel found his Renfield. It's totally not face eating leopards, he just wants to harvest your blood for eternal youth.

"I fear that we are losing the country," Masters told The Associated Press. "I want my kids to grow up in an America that works like the one I grew up in. I want them to grow up in a country that I still recognize."

Masters continued, "I want my kids to know that 'no' means maybe and 'yes' means anal.  That maybe if she hadn't dressed like that, she wouldn't have gotten raped.  Most importantly, I want my kids to know that yes, that Black man is going to steal from you, impregnate your daughter, and sell her for drugs."

Sadly correct. I mean, this guy is only going to be answerable to one billionaire, not several.

You know these billionaires are out in public a lot.  They live on the same planet as the rest of us.

And I hear they're delicious.

I farking hate peter thiel.

I also really farking hate that my country literally sold him citizenship because apparently rich people get to use my country as an apocalypse bunker.

Is Peter still injecting himself with the blood of poor youth?

You must be from New Zealand.  America's worst are absolute planning on taking over your country after crashing their own into the ground.  Should be happening any day now.

I don't recognize America anymore. I can't beat transgender women in the street for existing, and they let the blacks move into the suburbs now. It's worse than communist china!

thankfully our borders are still *really* closed, and also american politics are so disgusting to us that the opposition leader, who has been whinging about critical race theory and trans athletes lately, has tanked her approval rating so the extent that the whole country is just waiting for her to get rolled by some other asshole in the party trying to gain power (they went through i think 3 leaders in the space of about a month)

Not often you say something I absolutely agree with but I know you are factually completely correct on this and it infuriates me.

Instead of wasting all those resources on their stupid ass escape plans they could simply not continue to fark shiat up and maybe prevent the fall.

In Australia where we've had similar success in keeping COVID out it's been our state governments rather than the federal government which have done the heavy lifting, and at each state election since the pandemic began incumbent governments (whichever side of the political spectrum they occupy) have been easily returned. Voters appreciate safety, even when that's economically challenging. I think you're seeing that in NZ too.

Our federal government on the other hand has ballsed up the vaccination program badly, and been pressuring states to open borders and lift lockdowns prematurely, they may have a much tougher time next election, due next year. That said our Labor opposition has no oxygen at the moment so it's hard to predict.

It seems to be vastly different in the US though. These issues are very different there, despite paying a much heavier price in terms of death toll and illness.

Yeah our problem at the moment is the vaccines. Everybody wants it, and we get left off of maps, so we're not exactly a high priority. I heard about a maori health centre nearby that was vaccinating everybody who came in though, so I've had my first shot despite the government saying I'm not in one of the eligible groups yet.

Meanwhile the news this morning says at least 50 of you guys came over without bothering to get tested first, so we're basically waiting on you guys to get your outbreaks under control so we can go back to opening the damn travel bubble but that farking gladys woman you guys have in NSW...

That reminds me; I need to start researching immigration requirements.

Do you know if there's a lot of restrictions on animal imports?  I've got a menagerie and I wouldn't want to leave any of my kiddos behind.

dog or a cat I think probably would just have to go into quarantine for a month, otherwise there are only 3 species you can bring to nz as pets and they wouldn't even consider exceptions

He favors an economy "where families can live on a single income".

I don't think his patron would support the return to the level of taxation on wealth that allowed for single-income families back in the 50's and 60's.

His entire platform is built on lies and GQP platitudes. What a surprise.

we're too remote so the risk of bringing something we don't want here eeither intentionally or unintentionally is super high for the few endangered species we haven't killed off yet.

Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why there are restrictions in place.

Just disappointed that they have a restriction on all reptiles and not just egg eaters or carnivores.

Yeah it was foolish of me not to exclude NSW from what I said earlier about the states doing well. NSW has been lucky until the last few weeks and they've been thumbing their collective noses at Victoria which they love to do because Vic had long lockdowns last year. I'm fortunate to be in SA away from all the madness. Adelaide where I live is (probably like much of NZ that's not Auckland) perfectly designed for social distancing. We're as a community quite fond of isolating ourselves a bit (or a lot) and thus we've had very little difficulty with COVID.

One of the most talked about members of congress was handpicked and funded by an outside group but there was no issue with that.

Wait, I think I remember the solution to this one from grade school.  I think the horse has to take the tortoise to NZ first, then go back for the rabbit?  But then he has to bring the tortoise back, on the return trip or something.  Crap, I always get this one mixed up.
