If you feed your dog well done steak, you are more of a monster than if you eat the shoe leather yourself.

"Some drug-resistant bacteria from dog food are the same as those found in hospital patients"

Oh.  So *that's* what they've been putting in dog food lately.

I read that as "multiDOG-resistant" which I hound funny.

You could sous vide the steak, in order to ensure that it is perfectly sterile without overcooking it.

Seems a bit fancy for dog food, but if you're already buying special raw food for your dog...

Souvide doesn't make a steak well done.  Just sterile.

My pup likes bits of steak from my plate. Smoked then seared, rare to medium rare.

I'm happy to share. I make a lot.

Great article and all but some actual information would have been nice, like, oh I don't know, brands tested?

Glad to hear of your methods.  I have a backyard with around 14 mature pecan trees.  Which means I always have some dead fall or storm fall wood.  I'll lay a few sticks on one side of the grill to smolder with the lid closed while my steak thinks about what it's done to deserve all that smoke.
