I like how they say they've only ever hit 513 in the derby, and 505 in a real game.  Mickey Mantle and Babe Ruth send their regards.

/Bryce Harper, when he was in high school, reportedly topped at least Mantle's longest homer

To get to Phoenix, it would have would be a foul ball over the 3rd-base dugout.

2nd Base is just about due north of home plate.

I played baseball a lot as a kid. Both wood and aluminum. Aluminum hurts the hands WAY more than wood, no matter how much tape. And I always hit farther with wood. Never understood this argument.


The answer is...science.

Aluminum bats are lighter, making the swing faster and the ball speed off the bat faster. Faster ball speed off the bat means farther hits.
