It looks like its Yahoo UK, so that may be some GDPR thingee going on there.  They have to WARN you they're scouring your device for data.  If it were Yahoo US, they'd just do it and not tell you.

From a completely unconnected article.

"Nations that are found close to the Greater Antilles such as Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Haiti are estimated to be sitting on natural gas of about 159 billion cubic feet and oil of about 142 million barrels. It is also estimated that undiscovered reserves could hold as much as 941 million barrel of crude oil and natural gas thought to be about 1.2 trillion cubic feet. Areas thought to be rich in oil include the Central Plateau, the bay of Port-Au -Prince, Thomond, and the Cul-de-sac plain. Daniel Mathurin, a French scientist has compared Haiti's oil reserves to a swimming pool compared to those of Venezuela which he likened to a glass of water. There are also huge Gold, Copper and Marble deposits estimated to be worth $100bn."

What are the bets that this was cooked up by the same group responsible for the failed Venezuela coup last year?

And there's two competing prime ministers and only about a third of the legislative seats are filled and the the head of the supreme Court died of the Rona a couple months ago. shiat is bad. Very bad.

Biden? No no no. This sounds more like a Harris operation. They probably took Biden out for ice cream when they were planning it.

Harris is Biden's Dick.

/Cheney that is.

I can only imagine his crime was not running the coup by the state department. They had no problem supporting the last two.

That really isn't very much oil/natural gas. The US alone used 30.48 trillion cubic feet of natural gas last year and 6.63 billion barrels of crude oil last year.

I was also supprised to learn that 140 million is a larger number than 300 billion. Much larger. Like a swimming pool compared to a glass of water.

Yep, Yahoo pages are banned on my machines.  If I see a headline and feel like it, I'll google other sources on the same story.

If we're blaming US political geography I'd say that this is more Missouri Man. By action, more Michigan Man, considering the kidnap-the-governor, or maybe Kentuck Man, because they DID assassinate a governor in the 1800s over a disputed election.

There's a lot of stuff to unpack but Florida Man is more drug-inspired craziness than cold calculated political violence.

The True Enemies of America are also the Enemies of Humanity and the Natural World.

Fascism always goes international when it feels it's strong enough to bully the weak globally as well as domestically.
