Even though they eventually let him go, I'm betting this is the m'f-er in question.

Considering Brady grew up a 49ers fan, and that it's well known that Brady very much wanted to sign with the 49ers, it was very likely Jimmy Garoppolo.

Plus the Niners were a complete team that had just lost the Super Bowl due to QB errors.

Could have been Tannehill or Trubisky, though.

I was happy to read that Mr Carr has the self awareness to respect toms successes, and while he would normally want to fight about it, he will defer to the master/goat and just be happy he was told it wasn't him. +1 for him.

His age and steady decline and unwillingness to attend OTA's, a lot of people would have chosen a few motherf*ckers over Brady.

Of course then he did the angry Brady thing and held his own OTA's during COVID lockdowns and off the field carried a sort of OK coaching staff through a Super Bowl while the rest of the team on the field carried him.

"From what I know, it wasn't me, which is good," Carr said on "Brother from Another" on Wednesday.
"If it was, I've gotten in enough trouble trying to challenge people to fights. But, as a man, Tom, I know you got the rings, but if it's not me then we're good. What I heard, it wasn't me, and so I'm good with that."

Look out dudes, we gotta tough guy here. Brady is sooooooo lucky he has all those rings and was (probably) referring to someone else anyways. Otherwise, yeah man, Derek Carr was TOTES gonna go beat up Brady and probably Gronk too while he's at it.

IMHO...Carr could take Brady in a fight.

But not Gronk, obviously.

Quite possibly; my comment wasn't casting doubt on Carr's chances in a hypothetical fist fight with Brady so much as trying to point out how silly the insinuation is in the first place.

Taking into the account the money they earn, how important they are to their respective franchises, and how even the most minor injury could have serious implications on their ability to perform, there isn't a starting QB in the NFL who would literally fight another...especially over a silly remark where contextually, Brady's quote was more about using perceived slights as motivation than actually trying to stick it to whatever Non-Carr QB he was actually referring to.

Of course it wasn't Carr, Brady probably said something very similar about the exact same guy a few years ago, and it worked.

While Carr sounds silly with his fight comment, dudes born  in Fresno and then choosing to go to school there should never be counted out in fisticuffs.

I watched the whole thing and the text of what he said doesn't really match with the context of how he said it. He was just out there shooting the shiat with a couple of other guys.

I'm glad he's toned down the faith stuff but you can tell he takes it seriously. He's got a good heart.

I know.  But the fight scenario popped into my head, and I had to pick someone.😄

He may not like Trubisky, and Nick Foles was playing that night, but as I recall Tommy lost track of downs at the end of the Bears-Bucs game and wound up on the short end.

Trubisky may not have the rings but at least he can count.

I'm going to throw this out there. Brady wanted to go to the bears and Mack had a talk with an old friend.

And here we have one of the rarest finds you will see in the wild... the rabid Mitchell Trubiski defender.  Look at his feathers standing proudly as he spouts the  positives of a 26 year old man whose NFL career is all but over because he never bothered to learn to read defenses. Trubiski will live in infamy for his penchant for running out of bounds to take a loss rather than just throw the ball away and these birds simply don't hide their love for him.  A rare find, indeed.
