If you're in Stamford, Coalhouse > Colony.  Might be biased though as they also have a kickass beer selection and whisky bar.

/It's also strangely right across from a Luigi's, though likely in no way related to the one in the article.  Their pizza is average on a good day.

Connecticut is a hellishly long drive, even without stopping.

Not Subby, but without a doubt, CT has the best pizza in the US. I've had the best pizza in NY, NJ, MD, FL, and CA. No one comes close to Pepe's for starters. You could make a list of twenty places and it would still be short for CT.

Our state slogan should be something about how we understand that the crust should be just as delicious as the rest of the pizza.

No Sally's in New Haven?
Mystic?
I guess if you make the list, you can choose the winners. My list of credible list-makers will not include Thrillist.

The Griswold Inn in Essex, CT is a good reason also.

Any list claiming 'top (number) (things)' should be always have 'that I've actually heard of' appended to it

There's nothing wrong with having a list of '(number) great (things)', but everyone wants to claim it's the top / best / whatever, and unless it's something like 'the best pizza place at (address)', it's going to be wrong.  And even at a specific address might be wrong. It's a large enough building.

Maybe they just want the 'engagement' of people telling them how wrong they are, but they could also end with 'did we miss any (thing)? tell us in the comments'
