FTFA Mitch McConnell thinks that it is appropriate to give trillions of taxpayer dollars to the wealthy and corporations through the Trump tax cuts, but it is inappropriate to create jobs to deal with the climate crisis, help people with child care, or providing funding for the care of our seniors and citizens with serious health issues.

Yeah. Duh. What country do you think this is?

"If the natural flow of economy is interrupted, it is wildly inappropriate to restore that balance by allowing monies to flow upstream in a natural sense. Local economies be damned. The poor be damned. We need to get cash to my donors, their banks, and anyone who thinks differently doesn't understand that I sold my soul to seize as much taxpayer dollars for the privileged classes, and I will not stop until we wring every dollar from every child's lemonade stand, until every penny has been vacuumed out of consumers' accounts. Only when the money all sits in stasis, in banks, unable to be fondled by the fingers of the mob, can we gain purity in our economics. Complete and utter stasis. No spending, only holding, and the lower classes starve and blow away as they should have done years ago."

We should probably just break his spine and puncture one of his lungs to re-possess the money spent treating his childhood polio. After all, it's not right to spend public money on that.

Wildly inappropriate? The fark do we form governments in the first place if not for the collective betterment of a society?

/Yeah, I know what those in power often use governments for.

Stupid and poor. Like the Tory voters in the South of England on minimum wage. They don't want minimum wage raised because other people will benefit from that too, not just them.

Republicans lie.

They love the top-down growth we have seen since a dollar in our pockets end up in their pockets as soon as we spend it.

They secretly love the fact we are running the money print in overdrive.

But, because the Government being effective and focusing on poor Americans is antithetical to the beliefs of their voters they have to shiat on the process and drag their feet.

Also, the fear that the Democrats in Congress will agree to tax the wealthy at a fair rate. That's all politicians' collective nightmare.

Letting people keep their own money by choosing not to tax it isn't "giving" them money. There seems to be this very socialist idea that all money is the government's first and foremost and that any that is not confiscated via taxation is only out of the kindness of the government's heart.

Isn't that basically what Colbert testified to Congress about in 2010? No one bothered to help anyone besides bankers then either

Cite?

The Tory government just increased the minimum wage, and reduced the age you get the full rate. They even boasted about raising the minimum wage in their 2019 manifesto and promised the raise they just introduced.

Most of the money in Biden's proposals goes right back into the economy, helping everyone.  Most of the money in Trumps Tax Scam was parked in banks or used to buy back stocks.  Money is like electricity in that it's really only useful when it's moving around.  Current, currency - there's a reason for that.

"As far as the Democratic policies hurting the economy, nothing could be more detached from the truth. The June jobs report showed that the economy is surging, and Biden is overseeing the largest economic expansion since 1984."

Now -- this was always in the cards -- of course the economy was going to surge as the pent-up demand in the economy surged, post-pandemic.

And it's only going to continue for awhile. Just wait until that Infrastructure bill gets passed -- unlike tax cuts, it will be like rocket fuel for economic activity.

But numbers like they posted is largely due to Democratic lawmakers ensuring that stimulus continued to flow -- 70% of the GDP is Consumer Spending.

Yertle wanted to stop with stimulus.

How much do you think 2000 $1400 six months ago made in the economy today?

The stimulus is nothing compared to the return to normalcy offered by the ending of Covid restrictions thanks to the vaccines.

Return to normalcy?  Oh, you mean forcing people back to extremely low paying jobs so that they can't survive again?  That normalcy?

Not you, of course.  You're so much better than those peons and slaves, and you just have to be able to lord over them.
